ua72riddle totally agree re the ProV, until they up their game & introduce VW it with never be a serious contender on my radar. Think the ProV came out at a time when there was far less choice in Attys & you probably could set the VV & leave it, in fact some folks probably still do, they'll have a particular atty which sits atop it & it's a lifetime pairing, but if you have more then one atty that you like to use on regular basis it would just be a PITA for me to have to remember to adjust the VV, specially when I'm jumping from SS wicks to silica. I'm also in serious love the whole telescopic aspect, being able to change the size without having various different tubes, extenders, caps whatever to try & find rattling around me vaping box. . . & I stand to be corrected on this, but ProV doesn't support 18500 which is probably the size I use most when I'm out & about. So until they produce a TS version with VW I won't be investing I'm afraid.

I get your argument 4mad . . . but I still tinker with the VW settings on my devices, so it's as long as it is short for me whether I have a VV or VW device. Just love the vape I get from my Provari's, it knocks spots off any other device using the same delivery system at the same settings. And the standard Provari takes a 18490/18500 battery . . . you can buy an extension cap to take 18650 batteries. The Provari Mini takes 18350 and the extension cap with that enables you to use 18490/18500 batteries.I love them.

I think it's very much a case of personal taste. I use a number of different atties - genesis style, silica wick, and cartomizers as well. I simply find that these different delivery systems need different settings (sometimes just changing the juice requires a different setting) so I am regularly changing the output of my mod. If you only have VV then you change the voltage. If you have VV/VW then you can change either volts or watts. For me personally I'm going to change settings regularly in any event, because (for me) it's a complete myth that 'one setting suits everything'. I have, for example 2 Vivi Novas with different juices in them, and I use different settings for each. So far I have found that I prefer sweet juices at lower power settings, and tobacco juices at higher power. Maybe that's just me....
I am very fortunate in that I got my Provari as a gift. Probably I would not have bought it because my perception was that it did not have 'enough features' to justify the high price (it only does variable voltage, no variable watts). However it gives me a better vape than either my Lavatube or my Zmax and that's a fact. I could certainly live with the Zmax, but the Provari frankly eclipses both.

Thanks for that Perps didn't realise that the standard would take 18500, but since I'm such an untidy disorganized bugga (Romelee would need a straight jacket if he ever visited me) I like having all 3 sizes in one mod I love them. How many are you up to now, you should have a plaque on the board room wall as one of their most distinguished customers

There's a lovely new Bronze finish that I don't have . . . it keeps calling to me as well.

I can't wait until Provari bring out a VW device. I'll then pick up all the poor unwanted VV Provaris from the classies at a knock down price and give them a good home
