Right I thought being as nobody else would try it I did lol. Used a stainless wire wick with oxidised mesh around the top in my aga-t and it is awesome. Much cleaner taste and cant run it dry unlike the mesh or silica. Highly recommended.

That`s a great vid stitch, I am sorry , I never saw this before I posted here allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/23538/steel-cable-wick-promisingIt shows some results that I have had and some more comments, again, apologies. But it works for sure, I am not even using mesh over the cable and it works amazingly well. Maybe a bit of a game changer, I love it and had so many problems before with the mesh alone.

Just tried sliding some thin ss cable down the inside of A wick running a 1ohm coil and its made the world of difference. No tipping even down to the last drop

i have been doing this with my setups for about 9 months now. i personally do not think i will use, or even try, anything else. no real need for tipping your tank. i have forgotten what a dry hit is like, i now believe it is urban legend, hehe, dry hits..... i have been using my same .8 ohm coil (32 kanthal) on a Stainless Steel WIRE ROPE 316, 7x7, 1/16" wick for about 40 days now, i scrape, or chip, of the gunk off the coil every refill just to keep it purring like a kitten. simply amazing at how well this works and am surprised its not widley used and accepted. i have seen peices of ss wire advertised as wick for egigs on only 1 site, just recently to i might add. if i remember the site ill post a link. excellent share... <<<i got the wire rope from here>>>

I tried it on a standard RSST and .8 ohm coil, worked like a champ. So rebuilt my other RSST that's modded for a u wick, Now it's got a pair of wickes, running at .8 ohms on .5x.1 ribbon wire, just a thick warm cloud. Need more batteries as they don't last long.
