Evening you lovely bunch I started on the gizmo yesterday - the kitchen looks like Frankenstein's kitchen with assorted bottles, droppers, syringes etc while I'm trying to mix up an approx dose of ejuice & glycerine! Blow this - next time, I'll get the low strength stuff! One or two minor mishaps, but hopefully, they can be sorted. Tried to alternate the 2 ecigs, as recommended on here earlier. One seems fine, the other's throwing a major wobbly. I refilled the cart & recharged the battery this morning as it seemed a bit feeble & now it's bust Since the first go, it tastes 'burnt', the atomiser is too hot to hold & the battery seems to have developed a life of it's own. It switches itself on as soon as I touch the ecig (not just when having a puff), glows blue for a few seconds then flashes red on & off 16 times, then the light goes out. Touch it again & it just repeats the sequence. Any ideas what I've done please? I emailed George & he said to check the cart was pushed right on (it is / was), the cart might need changing already done that), or the atty might need cleaning - only had it 2 days, would it need cleaning already? Apart from that, it's not going too badly - still on the same packet of fags since Wed with over half still in the pack Please keep the success stories coming - they're really encouraging

im not too clued up on what unit your using but the glycerine could be the problem,as it is too thick if you are dripping it onto the attie or cart. clean the cart filler and use neat liquid. you could put put some liquid onto the attie let it soak therefore flooding the attie then gently blow from the battery end of the attie. also roll a piece of kitchen roll tight and gently poke it in the attie then put th attie on an angle so it drains into the kitchen roll. ragjoy.........

ragjoy is correct re the blowing sucking method.
Glycerene is gooey thick stuff if you use too much it is not kind to your atomiser.
These batteries and their internals are well not exactly built to last. Inside the top there is a switch and if it gets all gooed up it can stick if it sticks on what you are experiencing happens.
Blow from the LED end put a tissue at the other end - Blow hard untill you feel like the top of your head will come off and you have a red face red face .
You can also try tapping it gently on a hard surface .

Well done Keef I just arrived on the scene and was wondering how I'd be able to illustrate a stuck switch. Not a nice thing for Scotjo to be confronted with, just starting out scylla

Just wait till you see a dissected atomiser, it truley puts to bed any theory of cleaning being a viable option

Completely agree on it being a stuck battery switch, causing the problem. Jo it may not be due to anything you have done, I don't think you have been using it long enough to gunge it up. I remember buying a spare kit off an eBay seller & when I opened the box, the led light on one of the batteries was slowly flashing on & off. Blowing down that one & tapping it on the side didn't cure the problem, so I got the seller to replace it. I'm a tad surprised & George's suggestions. Apart from your dodgy battery, it sounds like you are doing really well

I bought 3 stainless steel 901 batteries and 2 of them were flashing as they came out of the Jiffy bag George should replace your faulty battery - I'd tell him that you've been advised that the switch is faulty and that you mustn't use it because it's dangerous. scylla

Thanks folks - some helpful info in there. Sorry for not getting back sooner though but 'stuff' insists in getting the way. I sent George a film clip last night of what it was doing (sad, I know, but thought it might explain better than I did), but haven't heard back from him yet. It's still doing it despite blowing & sooking it till I'm one step away from an apoplexy! It does rather look like the battery's kaput . I'll see what George says & if he agrees, then maybe he'll get onto it He did send me a link to an atty cleaner though! Still struggling with the dosage. It's either so weak it makes my cheeks meet with the almighty suck needed or it's so strong that the room won't stay still & that's not nice Does everybody get this hassle? Or is it just me! I hope it's worth it in the end Thanks again everybody

scotjo, you shouldn't be having to faff around. Your atties and batteries should work straight from the box (after a charge) and if they don't, send them back for replacement.
So sorry you've had a problem - I've been lucky so far and am not sure I'd have been as successful at dropping the dreaded weed had I been messed about!

He did send me a link to an atty cleaner though! George shouldn't be trying to palm you off with the atty cleaner he's been trying to flog for at least the past year > (I bought a bottle but have never got around to using it.) We'll take him off the approved sellers' list if he don't treat you right - you tell him {{{Jo}}} !!! scylla

Completely agrees with Scylla. George should not be pushing the attie cleaner on you - especially as it's so obviously not an attie problem.

THanks folks, Oh the joys of being a total ignoramus new to the art huh? The 'big boys' could tell me anything & not knowing any different, I'd believe them & get taken for a mug yet again. I'll get back to George about a replacement now I'm armed with the knowledge lol. He mustn't work weekends. Thanks again
