Have you tried vaping just flavourless nic juice as your symptoms could possibly be down to flavourings?

Oh,what a good idea Griz.I havent tried that before so i will give that a go,cheers for that.Ive noticed that Eastmalls 36mg PG mixing juice is the one that has the worst effect on me ??? Its such a shame as i love the strength of it and how cheap it is to I will have a go at vaping it unflavoured for a few days and see if i get any better.

Let us know how you get on wo'nt you? It would also be a good Idea to give it a week at least to see if there are any improvements.
You could also try nic juice from either TW (Platinum Ice 54mg) or Cloud 9's Neat 54mg) as they are clear in colour and reconed to be purer
Hope it sorts things out for you.

There arn't many replying to this thread so it must just be a few of us who are concerned about whats happening to us. I was itchy when I first started vaping especially my legs and scalp, now my hair is dry and dull but it might just be my body getting used to it. I'm lowering my nic to around 10mg and leaving my e-cig upstairs so its not always at hand just to see if I notice a difference. I couldnt smoke flavourless nic, can't see the point if you can't taste anything.

I agree Tyne,i cant stick it as its horrible A very good idea though Griz.Im not going to let it beat me and will continue to vape for now,ive tried all sorts of special shampoo, capasol and some others from the doctor but they wont shift my scalp problem at all.Ive cut my nic back to 26mg now and am getting used to it and going to try and get it down even further. No way will i go back to the fags as ive gone a year without them and im pretty sure they would cave my head in if i sparked one up

Just a thought but you can just develop these sort of problems. I have never had any skin problems in my life and then 9 months ago I started with awful dermatitis on my hands 1 week later my brother got it on his face and arms. We don't live in the same house, use completely different washing powders, washing liquid etc. It just happened.
The only thing that has helped is steroid creams and drinking lots and lots of water. Any dry skin problem the best thing you can do is hydrate and from the inside is better than moisturisers and creams.

Not a problem, I know how annoying it is. I'm sat here scratching my hands right now!

Am putting in my two-penny-worth to add to the pondering. Firstly, the itching thing. I don't have that, but did, for reasons which have been identified via a hospital consultant. My skin condition began two years before me vaping. Similar to what is described above. In fact, mine began when I returned from Thailand. At that point I was getting a flare-up which looked like a bite, which itched, And I assumed I had imported something nasty via Thailand - a mozzy-type insect, albeit no-one else was getting 'bitten'.) But within days (probably with me rubbing and scratching the spot) these then flared up into circular dry itchy patches. These were on my hands, legs and feet. Few on my torso, none on my neck or face. Three visits to the GP to no avail, finally I was referred to a consultant at the hospital. The diagnosis (wait for it - and no rude comments allowed, 'specially form the Cluttery person) was 'Asteototic Eczema' - which if you Google, is 'senile eczema'! It is an age thing, that I now have under control with creams as and when necessary. But, my issue now, which I am sure is attached to vaping, is that I have had increasing chest congestion - and at times severe. One night I awoke barely able to breathe, and nearly phoned for an ambulance. I say that being someone who doesn't waste time or energy rushing to doctors. However, after several more similar bouts, I did finally visit my doc about three weeks ago. I told him that I had given up smoking a year ago - and mentioned that all my years of smoking rarely caused me chest problems. I didn't tell him about my vaping, albeit the last doc I had seen ought to have put that on my records - as I had told him. After a session of puffing into a gizmo he had, I was told that he suspected it was athsma, and that my ability to blow into his gizmo had shown to be poor. Apparently the number should have been circa 400, whilst my ability to 'blow' only reached 250. Of course this means little to me other than to say that something isn't right. I now have a puffer doo-dah - which does help if and when I get an attack. I also have a visit booked to the athsma clinic one week from now. I have Googled 'Athsma in aging people'! And that wasn't too helpful, as like the senile eczema, people of my age can also develop athsma from nowhere, with the medical experts having no idea why. However, I largely vape VG. But, in the light of what you are all saying, perhaps I should get on to James to see if he can supply a couple of weeks of PG for me to try that? Also, my main vaping flavours are: Paradise Vape L and B, which I doctor/mix with caramel and coffee. Not sure that helps anyone, but it is more info which hopefully gets us all eliminating or considering whether the vaping is responsible. As for the sleep issue, well, sadly, that also is something to expect with age - vaping or not! My sleep pattern/ability has been really bad for circa 15 years - long before vaping was invented. >

Whenever I introduce someone to vaping I always mention that itching can be a side effect caused by the PG so I tell them should it occur take an anti-histamine every morning for 2 weeks after which time it should stop as your body will start to accept the levels of PG.

Okay, here's my two-cents: As an active alcoholic I suffered from high stress levels which broke me out in eczema. I could go to bed, scratch in my sleep, and when I woke up (aka regained consciousness) my sheets could be covered in blood. I was like a scabby old dog. When I stopped drinking and did a few things, such as implement a daily meditation practise (which I swear by), my stress levels lowered and funnily enough my scabbiness is now non-existent. Meditation can definitely help with stress and sleeping problems, and meditation is scientifically proven (with brain scans 'n' stuff) to have many psychological and physical benefits. A simple search on Google will show that loads of scientific studies have been done on mediation, and some with extremely surprising results. When they can measure something; such as the benefits of meditation; it stops being 'airy fairy nonsense' and enters into the realm of science; and it has done. Have any of you guys ever considered meditation? There need be no religious overtones linked to meditation (though I do it as part of a two year structured Buddhist foundation course (but I'm not very 'Boodhist' )). Honestly, meditation can solve a lot of problems that we create ourselves; even if that does sound a bit weird.

Thanks for all the posts on this, it does seem that only a few members have noticed problems or differences in themselves though or there would have been more members posting about their problems. I know things can happen with age but with me some of the problems only started when I started vaping. Everyone knows their own body, no one else does and I know for a fact that I never had really banging headaches but I do now. I tend to be daydreaming a lot and have a couldnt give a toss attitude when I should be alert. I recently passed my works medical where I had to blow into a small machine and I was actually told it was excellent for my age, in fact I passed the whole medical with no problems at all. So physically I'm told I'm ok and I'm also quite fit,I don't have any problems exercising. It seems like vaping is affecting people mostly in different ways although itching and headaches do seem common. Smoking affected people difeferently so vaping must be the same. I'm sure Hanow is correct when he says sleeping problems are expected with age but as for the other problems,I know my own body and I don't feel right.

Hanow,i suffered the same as you for nigh on 20yrs,was given inhalers when i had never had an asthma attack in my life,When you have the attack in the night do you feel like your lungs have collapsed and your heart is trying to burst out of your ribs? You can get no air into your lungs? People with asthma struggle to breath out more than in.I ended up going private as i really thought i would die.I have a nasal inhaler now as i have nasal problems when i lie down(need to keep swallowing)a proton pump inhibitor to stop reflux getting stuck in my voice box)cannot speak when attack happens) and a gaviscon type drink, these have helped loads, still have occasional attack but not as severe. Also keep dairy products to a minimum, especially after tea time as these produce more mucus that stick in your throat. NNN xx
