I worked a night shift last night - for free! Got up at noon very enthusiastic to sort my garden out - actually only strim and mow the grass. Started off really well - got halfway down the garden then the b******y strimmer broke . Tried to fix it but my skills lie in other areas. Anyway it's back in the shed .
OK I thought to myself - deep breath move on. House needs cleaning but for the last nearly 3 hours I've been sat like a gonk on the sofa staring at the half strimmed garden thinking to myself - get the vacuum out, do a bit of dusting, have a bit of a tidy. You know the sort of thing one does on a Sunday when your not working!
I can't seem to muster up the energy or enthusiasm even though living in a tip is really bugging me.
So... back to the original point - anyone got some enthusiasm/energy I can borrow? Or if someone wants to do a bit of cleaning...

Go for a walk or something - nothing worse that sitting looking at something that bothers you but lack the will to fix. Get away from it for a bit and when you come back you may find the required inspiration.

You do get used to it after time... I have! Sorry to hear of your problem though, but it's going to rain again tomorrow so the grass will only grow again anyway:'(

Can recommend a Torrent : Brain Sync - Stop ProcrastinatingNeeds to be listened to with stereo headphones - and works by using Binaural Beats - getting the left and right brains to work together - worth a try I've used them for several things - sort of easy meditation for the less experienced Or there's SCWL - subliminalsNo need fa headphones and just sounds like waves on the seashore Put it on with friends round - a mate turned up not knowing what we were listening to - suddenly went "i know what iv'e been meaning to do" and within half an hour had finished something he'd put off for a few weeks. Maybe not scientific but interesting nonetheless. I use this for getting things like me accounts done

Been in the garden ALL day , well decided to drag the mower and strimmer out this morning not that I wanted to , like has been said lack of enthusiasm, BUT no it has to be done before the grass gets any longer as its already too long, well I managed to get the mower into life after a dozen or so pulls on the starter , boy was I knackered after doing that , ok time for a sit down and a vape before I go any further oh and a quick brew so it took me 3hrs from start to finish with quite a few breaks in between for a vape and a few more brews and soaking up the sun, only problem now is I look like rudolph the rednose reindeer, but after a nice shower and a change of clothing I can now go out and sit and admire the days work with a ummmm maybe a beer or something of that nature and relax with my trusty vamo.

Never tried the sleep ones - tho have used a 'Mind Machine' that was very relaxing Mostly these days i find Reiki does a similar thing - certainly the Brain Hemisphere Synchronising anyway - and doesn't require headphones or batteries

Well, had a good walk, cleared out my head and attacked the cleaning with vim and vigour. Creighton-Ward Mansion is now spotless . I can now go to sleep with an uncluttered mind and wake refreshed at 5am in the morning ready to deal with whatever a 12 hour shift has to chuck at me. Thanks for advice and help - enthusiasm has returned!
