Final frustration this morning with Mr Evod and his tiny friends in the silver packages. No time for re-building, stuck a brand new head in, horrible. Vile, hot coil-age. eVic no likee. Take apart, try no.2. As bad, maybe worse. 2 brand new heads....both foul as foul can be, ruining my nice morning tobacco and caramel vape. Two rebuilds later, two more complete fails, and no time left for anything. OK, filled up my Mini Nova, put on an old head with new juice - off to vapesville. This afternoon, did 2 Novas in 10 minutes...no problem whatsoever....same ecowool, same wire, same attention to detail. two perfectly good 2.1 ohm heads vaping perfick from puff one. I'm done with Mr Evod, especially when his £2 friends can't even trusted. Not to mention the fact that unless you hold them upright from dusk till dawn they also get tetchy. I'm ordering 2 (3?) more Mini Novas, then it's Nova only for me. I know some people can rebuild them (Evod) but I don't have the time, patience and eye-sight for such a feat of fickleness. I did like the Vape, but why so unpredicatable....and how come brand new heads @ £2 a go don't even work? I took them apart (after considering why?) and discovered that both the new ones (clearly new by the intriguing 6-wrap design) weren't even straight, coils all over the place...the work of a newbie in the factory? Dunno. As with the ever-so reliable T3 (not!) I shall use up what's left and then pass them onto a more appreciative home. Going out now for a long run. Might make me feel better. ???

Vivi Nova's only for me too. Never liked the Evods, far too airy for my liking. Still got one in cellophane pkg, not even unwraped it. T'other one used for about half-an-hour. Never mind you live and learn, if you don't buy you don't try I suppose.

Oh, woe is me. Now one of the Nova homemades is tasteless and horrible too.
Maybe I'm just not cut out for the demands of making new coil/wicks. It's amazing, everywhere on t'internet, everybody seems so thoroughly thrilled with making their own and how easy it is and how much better it tastes. On UKV, people only have to say hello and they are inundated with enthusiasm for DIY. I've had 5 lots of wick (cloud9, now in the bin, Vape-Space, good, 2 from ecigwizard and one other) and 3 lots of wire (2 x kanthal and 1 x nichrome) and can't honestly say I've ever had a real good 'un. Vape-able, yes. Good - NO.
I managed to "lose" my iGo in a trade that went wrong, never got that tasting half decent. I have an octopus which seems to like 1mm and nichrome and then all the Evods have been just terrible. 1mm, 2mm, 3mm used the lot. I must be doing something wrong......
Bad times, I tell you. I have no original replacement heads left for anything (well, one V3 maybe).
I'll go and console myself on some GVC with an ancient 1.8.

Using two evods so far without any problems apart from the random lengths of Ego threads on them.

I like them but they are a b*gger too coil right, I make a coil on 3mm wick then lay another length of 3mm wick over the coil before re-assembling otherwise you get gurgles. They also gurgle when the liquid is getting low. But when they work boy are they good. So if you want to sell your @djs send me a PM.

I have not got an Evod (in fact I don't even know what one is), but my attempts with re-coiling vivi nova heads were very much the same as your own.
This time I didn't even try it, just shelled out for another box of ready made heads.

I have two evods at the minute.
Been using stock heads up to now (lasted two weeks with no gurgling or leaking), but will hopefully be rebuilding them over the weekend if the new bits arrive on time..
Will quite happily take yours off your hands if you do decide to get rid..
