I have 2 furminators, they are expensive but bloody awesome at what they do.

Don't know what a furminator is, but for the first time ever, I think I can say fasttech is a bit expensive

I got something similar for my cats (www.amazon.co.uk/FURminator-De-Sheding-Tool-Small/dp/B000FSFNUE/ref=sr_1_7?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1370441830&sr=1-7). I haven't been particularly impressed. I seem to get more fur off them with a standard pet comb. Maybe it works better with dogs (?!?)

I wish I'd taken photos of the fur that came off my Doberman, for a supposedly short haired dog. The fur half filled a black bin liner when she started the summer malt.

I was about to ask if they work on cats. I am sick of the ginger minger leaving clumps everywhere. He gets brushed but this years molt seems particularly bad.

Karma this is what I have, first class piece of kit, I have a malamute husky and it keeps his casting to a minimum.
He actually blows his coat once or twice a year, and when that happens I can fill two wheely bins a day for about a week.
Hence he's an outside dog.....but Yeh go for it, it dosent cut the coat.

The short back & sides treatment has worked far better on Casp.

Erm.........your Casp is luckier than mine, much luckier than mine, as it sounds like he still has some hair. The one here is still pretty hairless & is now getting black freckles on his skin.

Aren't Spitz's ears huge when there's no fur for them to hide in.

I collected my wife from her dads today, when I got out the car a really lovely cat came trotting over as though I was its owner I bent down to fuss it and it was loving it, I then decided to give it a cuddle, it didn't like that one bit so I let go....or at least I thought I'd let go!! It looked as though I had a cat stuck to the front of me! An unbelievable amount of hair came off it, an absolutely ridiculous amount, never in my life have I seen so much hair come off a cat, it was a short hair too! That cat needs to be told about Furminators so it can tell its owner to buy one and use it!!
