Not impressed!

Ok so after all the hype about the evods, I bought me and hubby a couple from fasttech.
They arrived today. Woohoo I thought!
So loaded one up with PVC ( not tried before), left it for a bit, started to get all excited, tried my first ever evod...........




Eurgghhhhhh! Tastes like I'm chewing on a rubber band! Not burnt rubber, just rubber with a slight hint of custard!
The taste stays in my mouth too
So I thought I would give the others a soak in bicarbonate and a good rinse before hubby had a go.
He's just tried his. He's impressed with the vapour production but after 3 drags, he's getting a burnt taste. It's gone back in the case.

Not impressed at all! Was looking forward to getting the 10 pack for all the different colors but unless it stops tasting of rubber bands, I won't be bothering!

I am getting these, tomorrow hopefully they will be delivered.

I am not having much luck with my www.vapeescape.co.uk/Vaping-Spares/Clearomisers/Vision-Ego-V2-Rainbow.html today. They seem to be leaking into my battery a lot, new batch too.

I hope yours sort themselves out. What where you using previously?

It can cause burnt taste at first if filled too much.

I have got about 16 of them and none of them taste burnt, i just stick to that guide and they all work great.

Been impressed with the three I got, the first one I tried had a bit of a bad taste to it, so put the three of the coil heads in the ultra sonic for a quick blast and they are working great, very impressed with them.

We have been using the mini vivi novas and are very impressed with them. Loads of vapour, great taste, easy to rewick etc etc
I first thought it was the aftertaste of the plastic/rubber condom thingie that came on the top of them but still tastes rubbery after cleaning. Will get the denture tablets out and leave them soaking overnight and see if that makes a difference. Tried PVC in one and pineapple and raspberry in tother, same rubbery taste with both.
Will have read of the guide and try that tomorrow

You need to take out the top wick. That will get rid of the burnt taste straight away.
The wick in them is just that tiny bit too big to allow a constant flow with any mix after that there perfect

hmmmmm don't agree
then they leak  and gurgel more  personally ive rebuilt them loads of times and i put a second wick in

questions
what ohm coil you using,what ejuice ie 50/50 ect
and what you vaping them on ? ego ect or what volts/ohm
ime running 4 at the moment and i can chain vape them they get nice and hot never a dry hit or burnt taste

They came with ego battery's. got them from fasttech. The site says they are2.6ohms.
Used them both straight out of packet and am using home made 50/50 juices.

Removing the strands on top of the pre-made wicks can cause leaking if using high pg liquids and is more likely that the condensation will leak through.

Unfortunately the pre-made wicks are a bit pants compared to 3mm Ekowool with no strands on top.

so you got complete kits nice
ok ive still got the supplied wicks in two of mine
only thing i suggest is the juice could be a little thick
ive only ran 70/30 and 60/40 in mine never tryed 50/50 that could explain the burnt taist its not wicking fast enough
or clean one out and try another e liquid
have you tried the juice in any other device ?
or thin your 50/50 with vodka or distilled water

I don't think the Evods from Fasttech are genuine Kanger Evods - they are "aftermarket", as in "copies".
No where on this page: www.fasttech.com/product/1363501-evod-electronic-cigarettes-round-mouth-atomizer-15 is Kanger mentioned and we have had reports of them being copies in the German community.

read down it says made in same factory
9 times out of ten a company like kanger get a another company to mass produce an item then brand them after

oh mine must be copies they don't have the evod bbc stamped on them i never noticed lol well they work fine
