I deliver parcels from outside the eu daily and a lot have import tax to pay as if we pay our 20% vat in the shops but I've seen nothing mentioned on here with deliveries from fasttech. Just wondered if I'll get stung for a few more quid when it finally arrives?

That's always a posiblilty, but if you keep your orders low value, under £15 I think, it will be fine china can be quite imaginative when filling out custom's forms

There is always the risk of paying tax on the goods we purchase from FT or anywhere outside the EU - legally we should all be declaring them anyway although I have yet to hear of anyone getting hit by customs from FT, people have from other vendors I believe. As already said, the chinese vendors are very 'creative' when it comes to filling out the import form! To be honest with the prices of most of the stuff people order (myself included) even paying the tax amount would not be much, I have heard the handling charges can be quite steep though!

I think it went down to £9 - but need confirmation No mate, under £15 you pay no VAT or Customs Duty (£36 if declared as a Gift). Customs Duty is payable over £135 (I think @ 2.5%). If you have to pay Customs Duty, it is waived if it is less than £9.

Never been hit with a Fastech order yet regardless of size of order but got a text this morning from DHL wanting £17 duty for my Health Cabin order.
Funny thing is it is for less than the last order I put in and that sailed through.
Take it customs must be having a wee purge on at the moment .... Still can't really complain 1 getting caught out of about 10 is still a bargain.
We pays our money and takes our chance

DHL have their own customs clearing facility. So there's an increased likelihood, but not certainty, of attracting charges if using that shipping option.

Both sent with DHL, first one came through no probs .. but got text this morning asking for £17 odds for this one. Went on to the DHL site to pay it and when I put the ref number in it comes up with someone else name and nothing outstanding so not sure whether to phone them or wait and see what happens

I'd give them a ring myself just to be sure.
