Random problem. .. my wifes evod was working fine for 2 days and then today, I just refilled it and had a few vapes only to get half a tank of juice in my mouth.
I opened it up and had a look at everything and it is all secure and tight and nothing is out of place or anything so I have no idea where it could be coming from.
I have rebuilt it twice and it still leaks.. badly.
Anyone had a similar problem or know what could be going wrong?
Thanks, Chiller

I had a cracked housing on one (think the clear bit/mouthpiece) - that killed it off a good 'un.

Bought a few now as these the only type I use love them. Never had much problem only off the ones on eBay. However I only buy them. Through Jason at vape escape now and never had a problem at all. So in a nut shell depends where you buy them I would say. Where did you buy it

I got it from fasttech along with 6 more... not noticed any cracks, I didn't mean to say rebuild I meant I had taken it apart and put it back together lol I've rebuilt my vapeeasy bcc mega a few times with no trouble so I might have a go with it tomorrow.
I have just started using an evod myself on my vamo with a 510 to ego adaptor... it whistles like a seagull... how can i silence the bugger lol

One of mine (vapeescape) started leaking after a while. I rewicked it, still leaked. I laid a couple of strands of wick on top of the coil and it seems to be OK now.
If others have had similar experiences, then even if you aren't into rewicking it might be worth buying some wick to do just that. It is very easy - just pull off the top of the head by taking pliers to the metal post.
I bought an adapter so I could use my evods on the vamo, but I found I prefer a dual-coil top wick (iclear or Nova) so never use the adapter - just use the evods on a spinner when out and about. But now I try it I find mine whistles a bit too, though nothing like as bad as my protank. There's lots of people who have quietened protanks by blocking up one of the air-holes. Protanks are kind of big brother to evods, use the same heads, so it might be worth a go. Of course the vape will be less airy.

Fill one at a time, till you find it suits you. I have three evods, all from Jason, at vape escape. None of mine have leaked, might be lesser quality products from overseas?

Before I decided to sit on my backside enjoying the quiet life I used to be a Freelance Writer. I worked mainly in the field of consumer reports. It is therefore with a touch of professional interest that I read peoples reviews of a product, or indeed watch their reviews on You Tube. How do you know if you actually have an EVOD BC? How do you know if you have a Clone? If they are made in the same factory does it actually make any difference? Those are very pertinent questions. I think you will find that both the supposedly original Evod's and the clones are made in the same factories. The actual machining I have seen on all Evod's has been identical, only the removable parts sometimes differ, which would easily be explained if they were sourced from outside the main factories. A little digging and it is surprising what you can find .......... All Evod's leak unless you tighten everything up really snugly. Blocking the air vents defeats the object of the Evod which is to give a cooler and less "Harsh" vape. Use a strong E-Liquid with an Evod and you will soon see the difference compared with something like Vision V3's. You will also notice that some Evod's have two air vent holes and some three. This is never mentioned in the UK, but outside the UK they are marketed very differently, one for a smooth smoke the other for a mild smoke. Make sure they are well tightened up before use, also wash them after a few fillings in warm water, allowing them at least 12 hours to air dry. As for the popping and gurgling that people are reporting, they are both normal in an Evod. Indeed, many clearomizers do this to varying degrees. Drop cold water onto a red hot cooker hob and you will hear the same sort of thing. Used sensibly Evod's are no better or no worse than any other clearomizer. Sometimes, the search for perfection can become an obsession. They are not perfect, but what else in this world is? Jag. (Likes them)

Thanks for the tip, I had trouble with my Protanks leaking and gurgling when nearly empty, laid over a couple of strands of wick left over from re wicking some Evods and it seems to have cured it. In my experience with an evod (which isn't a lot) I have found there is a fine line between too little and too much wick both causing it to gurgle and leak. You need to experiment to see what works best for you
I have recently tried using cotton wool as a wick (from a post on ukv) is a bit more fiddly than silica but great improvements on taste TH and vapour, have also done the same in a vapeonly BCC mega with the same results, but on both had to experiment on the amount of flavour wick to lay on top
Also don't let the evod to get too empty as it will start to gurgle

I, it seems, have been very lucky with mine then (makes a change!) Never had a leak or gurgle, am suprised that people are reporting they do. Not that I mean I don't believe them, or anything, just that I haven't had either with my four, must just have had luck on my side, for once.
I found I would pop a cotton bud down the center shaft after a fill, maybe that stopped mine gurgling? Who knows, not me that's for sure.
