Hi guys,

Just received my order of goodies to give my first DIY mixing a go and LT Ecigs have messed up my order!!

They've sent me a 54mg nic base which is what I ordered but instead of standard PG they've sent me a 10mg PG base.

Is it possible to use the 10mg to dilute down the 54mg (I've got VG too) in a juice recipe or will I have to wait for the standard PG to arrive next week?

If I can't use the 10mg in a DIY mix, I've got 40ml of 18mg USA mix left over, can I add the 10mg PG to this to make it last a bit longer?

But I can't just dilute the 64mg down with VG can I? I still need the PG with no nicotine in to make the juice?

Yes you can . . . you won't get quite the ratio you were maybe hoping for, but just top up with plain VG after you've added your flavouring volume.

Sorry perps but mixing the 54mg and 10mg liquids wouldn't make it 64mg, it would make the final mix weaker than 54mg. How much would depend on the amounts mixed.

Adding 10mg to 54mg won't give you 64mg.
If you mixed, for example, 10ml of 54mg with 10ml of 10mg you would get 20ml of 32mg

Correct!

If you mix 5ml @ 54mg and 5ml @ 10mg
you will have 10ml @ 32mg.

If the liquids were mixed equally it would bring the final mix to 32mg, which is the split between 54 and 10.

you want 18mg strength but what ratios are you looking to get ? VG and PG. and are both nic liquids you have made with PG ?

I haven't made anything yet mev. I was ideally looking for 70/30 PG/VG

Assuming 20% flavouring, the best you'll get with those juices is about 77/23

If you mixed equal amount of both nic bases you would end up with a 32mg nic base in PG. You could then use this with just VG and a PG flavour at 10% to make roughly 70.30 mix, actually 66.25/33.75.

10ml of 18mg final mix:

nic base 32mg - 5.62ml 56.25%
VG - 3.37ml 33.75%
Flavour - 1.00ml 10%

Yes it will.

If you mix more of the 10mg than the 54mg, you will be able to add more VG, thus altering your final ratio.
