Okay,
So I have a 1 year old daughter, and would like to give it a go at giving up this smoking nonsense. The cost don't worry me so much, but I would like to keep up with her once she starts running around the place.
So, a few months ago, I got one of the Skycig packs, and a few flavours. It was going well. Not well enough to quit completely, but I did manage to reduce my actual cigarette consumption from 20 down to around 10 per day. Thats enough of a result for me to get started.
However, a few weeks ago I lost the usb charger. So I am back on 20 a day.
I went to visit a friend, and her parents, who used to smoke 60 a day, have stopped completely and recommended I come on here.
A quick recommendation, and I have ordered the EGO/CE5 COLOURFUL BATERY BLISTER PACK. It would be rude not to at £8. I also ordered a few different flavours.
Now this wont really cut it, as I have absolutely no spares for this. So I will be looking for some advice with what else to order for what will hopefully be a prolonged vaping experience.
I can leave it for another thread though. But I will gladly accept any advice on here too. I wouldn't be looking necessarily for some starter kit though. If I'm gonna do this, I'll go balls deep in it, and get some of the best gear from the off now. My brief encounter with the skycigs showed me what I can do without trying. Now I would like to get proper into it.
I realise it'll cost money initially, but I am prepared. So will be lurking around this forum looking for all the info I need. So far, I have come to the conclusion I know nothing, so will be a while I'm sure. But if someone could recommend a top spec starter kit, or a modded set-up that is the bomb, I am ready to pull the trigger almost immediately.

Hi & welcome xs2man, I have the Riva kit after recommendations of the great people on here, previous to getting the Riva I was using a cigalike & was still smoking 4 stinkies per day, from using the Riva I have been smoke free for 8 weeks, on a 20 per day habit you would need at least 18 mg strength, don't buy huge amounts of larger bottles initially as your taste buds will alter lots in the first few weeks, get a few different 5 or 10 ml bottles in flavours you think you will like. Some vendors do sample bottles for beginners, you will find all the vendors & their discount codes for any goods purchased in the beginners section, happy vaping

Hello & welcome xs2man Would love to know who they are so I can thank them for recommending you come here As you say, it would be rude not to go for that £8.00 blister pack I bought a couple of the black ones that Paradise Vape were selling for only £7.00 Took one of them along to the Devon Vape meet on Saturday & with the help of another member that donated some e-liquid, we got someone new to vaping instantly up & running He was happily vaping with it all afternoon - & that was just with the factory charge it came with. For a next step, I agree with jess & go for a spinner & evod. Or maybe look at something much bigger like the Vamo - www.vapeescape.co.uk/MODS--Advanced/Ego-VV/VW-VAMO/EGO-VV/VW-18650-MOD-VAMO.html

xs2manSounds like you mean it If you order 2 blister packs to get you by, and as future spares then you can get by a couple of weeks for delivery of a SS Vamo kit from fasttech - good charger, good baatteries, good vv/vw mod for £32 delivered Order a couple more Panasonic batteries, a 10-pack of EVODS, and a load of juice while your there, and you'll be set for a while I've got a few Rivas, including a blister-pack, and they're good, but I've recently got the batteries for my variable voltage mini-LT & wow, what an improvement. Good luck, whatever you do.

A warm welcome to you Xs2man. Great advice which I can't add to . . . but I do love your attitude, being prepared to make an investment to succeed. Which you will.

No need to get 2 Vamos as you will have the blister pack as back up plus the 3 18650 batteries you are going for to use with the Vamo As fred has said, if you are happy to wait, you can get the Vamo from Fastech for a lot less. However, do bare in mind that if you get any problems with it, you would have to send it back to China.

When you say a 10 pack of EVODS, I guess you mean these? : www.fasttech.com/products/1369401And I suppose these batteries would be good? : www.fasttech.com/products/1141104Got my shopping cart set with a few different flavour juices too. About £100 I imagine there, lol. But cannot wait. Will wait for confirmation the Evods and batts are correct before ordering though. And if there are any coupon codes?

xs2manYep, those are the EVOD clones. They're not Kanger - I've only used one of mine so far, and it seems to perform as well as my Kanger. (They do smaller packs as well as singles) Batteries - you'll need someone else to confirm if they fit a vamo & if they're suitable, but they look OK to me? (I'm a battery noob) Just had a thought -EVOD may not fit the vamo - i use one of these on my mini-LT, but they may fit the vamo. I think some do, some don't, but with the adapter they will. They will fit EGO bats though Remember to split your order, to save on customs fees. (Over $15 for tracked postage, under £15 to guarantee no customs or VAT - normally though, most things arrive from fasttech without charges) Get the spare batts with the vamo though, for the new postal regs. & remember that ejuice may or may not now be allowed in the post.

Yes . . . both those links will be good Xs2man . . . though a word of caution, there have been mixed findings with the FT Evods: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/24801/kanger-evod-fasttech?page=1The Vamo will take both flat top and pipped/nippled batteries. No coupon codes for them though.

xs2manI've only just seen Adam78 's update on the leaking on the thread that Perps linked above - you may want to have a squizz & rethink the EVOD clones. As I said, the 1 I've used has been OK so far but it seems it may crack in a couple of weeks
