Diamond Crystal 54mg.

I just got this Pg Nicotine (Diamond Crystal 54mg.) base today. Its the first time and first experience in making my own juice. I just mixed

2 ml of this Pg base 54mg
2 ml VG 0 mg
2 ml Pg e liquid 18 mg ( this is a ready made e liquid which I have bought in strawberry flavour)

and I end up with a 5 ml sample of 60% PG and 40% VG in 25mg

I had used the ejuice me up calculator to make this. The question is here as when I was getting the VG I so that it is thick as it have to be, but the Pg nicotine base I so it a bit thick too is it normal ?

Hi Melita . . . I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, you're querying the density of the PG base? Is that it?

If it is, then bases do vary depending upon where it has been sourced from. You could add a dash of Vodka if you think it's really too thick, but in this hot weather eliquid is more viscous anyway, so I'd try it first and see how it vapes, before you add any dilution.

Yes Perpetua its what I mean. It vape quite well as it gives me a good throat hit and loads of clouds unlike before. if ever I have to use Vodka shall I use it as it is or I dilute the Vodka ? sorry for asking but I don't know.

Don't worry about the questions Melita.

Yes, you use the vodka neat . . . but if it's vaping well as it is, then I wouldn't try and mend what isn't broken for you.

I would Melita . . . nothing to stop you mixing the Vodka with a dash of Cola and some ice though.

Sorry mate - your numbers just don't add up. 

If your Strawberry juice is indeed 100% PG,

You will have 6ml of 24mg 66.7/33.3 PG/VG juice.

I'm now filling the carto more frequently as I'm afraid that it will go out. Is it because the mix is 60%PG and 40% VG ? If I have to mix the vodka how much shall I put and will it taste? .And you mean I can use Cole the one we drink?

That makes the mix 5ml of 25.2mg 60/40 pg/vg

I was being flippant Melita . . . my idea of humour, so ignore that.

You're probably vaping more as you're enjoying the mix I should think. If you do add Vodka to your mixes between 5-10% . . . but be beware, living in a hot climate as you do then you could well find you make your mix too runny and get leaks. It's already got 60% PG in it.

I'd leave it as it is and accept my carto needs filling more. Or get a carto tank.

Reading the OP to me it seems that Melita is using ready made strawberry flavoured e liquid instead of a flavour concentrate.This is taken from the OP
2 ml Pg e liquid 18 mg ( this is a ready made e liquid which I have bought in strawberry flavour).
What do others think. Surely this will just dilute the resulting brew altogether, re TH, vapour and flavour. I could be wrong but that's how I read it

Well, yes, that was my take too, however I had that sort of problem once, when trying to rescue some 24mg Rollling Holborn 70/30 pg/vg that was way too harsh for a first timer's vape experience. I cut it 50-50 with VG and oddly got a mix that I am still using and loving; so much so that I am thinking about doing again! It was nothing like the original of course but it did turn out to be rather nice. I'm going to buy the flavouring only (as they actually sell it!) and plan to make it one of my first mixes, getting the right amount of flavouring would no doubt be quite taxing (even if I had their recipe), but a little at a time should see me get there.

You are right Sue ,I di got some strawberry ready mixed PG liquid in 18mg and I wanted to fix it in the strength. And now it come much better not in the flavour as I'm not that much interested but in bothe the throat hit and amount of vapor (clouds)
