Excessive sweating???

Does anyone else suffer with this since starting vaping? I only have to vacuum or mop the floor & its literally dripping off me & my hair is wet through!! I had to go on beta blockers for high blood pressure & migraine at the same time as i started vaping so do not know if its those or the vaping thats causing it, it does say in the leaflet though that beta blockers are given to cure excessive sweating caused by anxiety so it really has me puzzled & its not the recent hot weather either as the same was happening before the hot spell. Its a good job we're not on a water meter as i'm having to shower two or three times daily.

Probably neither the beta blockers or the vaping!

Your age or certain hormone problems could be the culprit so worth getting checked out by the Doc. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids

As Karma says, I'd make an appointment with the Doctor . . . they can do a blood test to see if you're on the ' cusp' Di.

Don't think it's anything to do with vaping myself . . . .

I've been vaping for over 5 years and never suffered from excessive sweating, neither have any of my converts.

But, if i so much as move with this heatwave going on, i'm sweating like heck

I have appointment with GP on Thursday re the sweating so will see what she has to say, I have never been a sweaty person even when abroad it's really doing my head in ???

I'm on beta blockers too for anxiety and an abnormal heart rhythm.

I have noticed increased sweating too but I think it's a side effect of the beta blockers, the humid weather doesn't help

But I don't think it's linked to vaping

Thanks for that Bernard, it's not propanolol you are taking by any chance is it? I'm so glad it isn't the vaping

Yep that's the one, im on quite a high dose but the doctor told me its a common symptom

Nicotine CAN and DOES constrict blood vessels. This is a common side effect of Nicotine. It's one of the many reasons people are advised to quit smoking if they have Heart problems. With high blood pressure I would imagine you should be on very low doses of Nicotine. People actually intake more Nicotine through Vaping than Smokers using real cigarettes do! That throat hit people talk about is due to the high levels of Nicotine in most E-Liquids.

Check with your doctor concerning your nicotine intake.

A 35 mL puff from the Ruyan® V8 delivers only 10% of the nicotine obtained from a similar puff of a Marlboro regular cigarette. Deeper 50 mL puffs from the Ruyan V8 delivers only slightly more nicotine.

That's why we vape more often than we used to smoke, a little often.

Throat hit is caused by many things including nicotine, with me I don't notice the nic throat hit till I get to 18mg, but it can be increased by increasing vapour temperature - increasing voltage, or flavouring such as menthol or spices, pretty much anything that irritates the upper respiratory tract.

Thanks guys i will see what she says, its mainly when i'm doing my house cleaning, funny thing is it does't happen when i'm at work rushed off my feet & thats in a hot kitchen, its wierd.

A 35ml puff is on hell of a puff

 If you read Clearrstreamstudy clearstream.flavourart.it/site/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/CSA_ItaEng.pdf you will find nicotine absorption is almost 100% for both Ecigs and traditional tobacco.

I'm on 160 mg, my bp wasn't massively high, just higher than normal (120/70 is my normal reading) it was prescribed for migraine mainly, i will see what she says on Thursday,

I am having to wash and change my bedding regularly due to me waking up feeling like i have been swimming.

Oh i'm always stripping the bed & washing & outside line drying it then making bed back up with same bedding just because it smells so wonderful & fresh, but to be honest the sweating does not occur through the night, its mainly when i do household cleaning & without really exerting myself, its wierd ????
