Hey everyone, hope you're all enjoying the sunshine! Ok, drippers... why the heck are there so many available!!! I'm looking to get myself a nice little cost effective dripping atty to try out some flavours but there are so many available and all with varying reviews and so I need some help in choosing one! The most popular going by the search results on this forum seems to be the Igo-L but I'm wondering if any of the others are worth considering before placing an order? Here are the ones that I've come across thus far; Smok RDAIgo-WPhoenix Bully
510 Bauway
306 BauwayDoes anyone own any of the above? If so would you mind divulging the pros and cons of them please? Also, If I've missed any that are worth considering I would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction! I'm not looking to spend £20+ just yet until I've got something basic to cut my teeth on and so I'm not looking at the Clockworks RTA etc yet.. Lastly, which drip tips should I be looking at for a dripper? Am I right in thinking that you drip straight down the tip and thus need one with a decent internal diameter? Which ones do you guys favour? Sorry for all the newb questions, would really appreciate some help as I'm pulling my hair out looking at all these shinies!! The main reason I'm after one is that I'm going to start mixing my own juices soon and so need something reliable to test them on! Also intrigued as to how much better the flavour is over a rebuildable with a tank! Many thankyous in advance! Regards Dan

Hi promarkWhilst it's initially going to be testing liquids, I want to be able to use it as an alternative to the Kayfuns in the evening too which is why I've listed a few rebuildables.. Just so many to choose from and knowing how looks can be deceiving I want to get the best value for money possible!

Hi Dan, I can't give advice on the drippers you listed but I can say that the Igo L is great and can be picked up really cheaply from Fasttech. Mine arrived today and I can't put it down

Lastly, which drip tips should I be looking at for a dripper? Am I right in thinking that you drip straight down the tip and thus need one with a decent internal diameter? Yes, get as wide an internal diameter as you can. If it's too narrow, drops of liquid can end up just catching in there and holding under its own weight, and then if you're not careful and carry on dripping, it brims over the top of the tip. Also, you then need to find a way to coax the liquid down the tip into the atomiser (eg, holding and removing tissue over the airhole, sticking a bit of tissue down the drip tip, or just waiting for it to seep down by itself). I quite like using clear plastic see-through drip tips, as you can tell whether the drops are going all the way down or not. But if you get a wide enough drip tip, it shouldn't be an issue in any case. (As mentioned above, if you decide to try 306s, then you'll need a specific 306 tip, as you're shoving it right onto the atomiser - the drip tip essentially becomes the atomising chamber itself.)

I plumped for one of these. Would have been rude not to at the price. Not had any problems with it so far - great flavour and vapour compared to clearos. Not had to rewick it yet, but I don't see it being too much of a problem. Might just be obliged to order an igo-l now

I use an IGO-L which i have HEAVILY modified, but my main bug bare with it is attaching the coil, you have to wrap it round the screw, try and get one that has holes in the posts. The next dripper i'll be picking up is this, www.smokecloud.co.uk/smok-scar-rda

I'm still very new to rebuildables but I got an iglo-l. I think it was Super-Shiny who pointed them out to me. They are great for a beginner as they are very easy to recoil. Even with my poor eyesight I was able to do it first time without a magnifying glass and the coil just keeps on going and going. I am very happy with mine.

I've had a couple of the Bauway 306's and whilst they give a seriously great vape they do flood. As kurotoshiro said the hole is very narrow and high VG juice has a tendency to sit on top and then leak down the side. Will be trying something bigger in future. Perfect for quickly testing PG juices though.

(Not sure where you can get one these days. Safercigs seem to have stopped doing them - or maybe they're just out of stock atm). Or, for a bit more money, a DCA (which I think C9V sell). When I used 306s on a 24/7 basis, I had a drip shield, and it worked well. I would have invested in a DCA, but I switched to an RDA and stopped using 306s as frequently, so it wasn't worth the investment.

I just punched a hole through a screw cap off a wine bottle and used that as a shield
