What do I do with ekowool?

Got some ekowool w while back and have decided ill give it a try now.

I only use vivi novas so will be rewicking those with it.

I've seen post where people say to douse it in juice and burn or a few times then use it. Some use it right out of the bag.

It's 2mm and ill be using kanthal with it.

So what would people recommend? Right out the bag like silica or burn it a few times first?

Well. Tried the ekowool. Can't say I'm impressed. Cut to length. 4 wraps. 1.8ohms. Ekowool was falling apart by the time I came to put the head in a tank. Basically looked shredded. Filled the tank with MDV from vaping king and it there's a faint taste of the juice but very faint.

Guess ill stick to silica.

Flame it, it won't fall apart that way and will stay solid until juice hits it

Really don't know why your juices are having a feint taste with Ekowool, at the end of the day it is just soaking up your juice and the coil is heating up and throwing out the vape to you so cannot answer that one

I shouldn't think so, that's what i use, may sound silly as you know how that juice should taste but how about try a different juice, i am confused as to why the juice is feint ???

I find that if I don't fire the wire before coiling it always tastes wrong

@jerri. Ekowool needs to be `torched` white hot, this burns off all impurities,and also improves the wicking

process.ron is right, you must flame your wire "orange hot", before making your wraps. This also burns off

oils and other impurities, when making your wraps/ wick make sure your hands are `clean`, otherwise you will

transfer, natural body oils onto your `build.

Practice makes perfect.

Right. Flamed ekowool and wire. 5 wraps. 2.2ohms. Different juice.....no flavour.

I swear I'm completely useless at rebuilding. Beyond inept.

Plumes of vapour. No shorts. Just no flavour.
