If it isn't working are you going to return it to the vendor? It's not impossible, but it's not that likely either; I'm housebound so can't make the post office. I've no one to help me with that either. There's a bit of me feels half inspired to review it anyway and be damned, it's a generally better thing if people know about this one instead of doing what I have just done. I reckon it's probably the base cap spring that is at fault. I've seen it with other designs in reviews before and I suspect that's the problem. I don't happen to have a draw full of suitable spare springs as the likes of Mr Todd and Mr Busardo would. If it isn't that then the electronics for the push on push off must be the problem. However Vision make spinners and most people here who have them seem to love them. My guess was that having made those alright then they should have been capable of coming up with the goods for this one too! Instead it's looking more and more like another one of the same ilk as the truly egregious TOX model which they came up with a while back. Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Perhaps still send an e-mail to the vendor? If it is a spring problem then others may have had it too and the vendor may be able to send out another spring?

I've had some small issue with nearly every thing they sent today, and I've not even mentioned that to them, I'm still clearing up something about a box of atty heads, some 60% of which will not screw into the base of my protanks. I sent pics and a video, but I suspect they still think it's me and something I am doing wrong, and in truth I don't blame them for that, and they have been helpful too. However then there is this little lot to mention too! I did try a few coils snipped from another spring (I do carry some, but not really spot on for this lark) wrapped around the first one and it's seemed to help a bit. I only tried it for a bit rather nervously. in it's natural state the end cap does get a little warm too, nothing major but you can imagine how it's got me wondering. We shall see.

To my mind negative reviews are far more useful than non stop glowing praise. Its far more important to know whats not worth investing some cash in.

Not sure, I looked at one of course, but I'm not familiar with them, so can't be 100% sure. I can't seem to find a good source of various brass/copper springs, well not conical ones anyway.

heat in the body indicates where its got connection problems - if you can work out how to give the end cap to body a better connection you should have solved the voltage drop issue you described.

Best I could ask for with that is that they actually try one I guess, and then if they keep hot springs to identify one that would suit. I've no idea if that would be considered a too big an ask or not.

Oh, the threads on the cap meeting the tube do you mean? If so then how so? ??? Heat indicates resistance, if it gets hot anywhere other than a coil then there is your problem - I'm not familiar with the device or which end cap you are meaning, so just offering up the principle to help you in the right direction. Look at the hot spot and work out what's stemming the flow of electrons exactly at that pont.

ok, so things took an up turn! I thought what the hell, and took their spring out and bent mine to allow their screw to clamp it. On a 2.2 ohm it now vapes no worse than a 650mah ego would, maybe a bit better. Now this is with what I would class as definitely the wrong sort of spring! It's at best "brass and something else paler" plated. End cap gets less warm too now. That little tells me I am going in the right direction I suspect? ???
