Thanks for this, digicig. I'll be linking to this one from the blog, when I get to discussing the (vaunted) prohibition... AFTERTHOUGHT: It strikes me that "normalising" vaping, as very distinct from smoking, ought to have a positive and hopefully persuasive effect on smokers - not just that "hey, look at us, nicc'ing it up without so much as a..." but that it becomes a generally less freakish sight, and nudges more people to give it a try.

I do wonder though will bellows of vapour ever seem normal to none vapours? Should we expect them to have it around them, even though the link states not harmful. We only vape because we are ex smokers who get what we need from a vape, I can't imagine non smokers would want start. I'm struggling to get across what I mean, I just am not sure it is right to expect non smokers/vapours to have the vapour around them, if they don't want it. My hubby (Mr clean lungs never even tried a drag) doesn't want it around him, and I kinda understand his point.

As smokers we learnt to appreciate the effects of passive smoking on others around us, and I would like to think we were generally responsible. By bypassing anti-tobacco laws e-cigs now offer us a degree of freedom, for example many pubs, clubs, restaurants & work places allow vaping.
Thankfully I'm fortunate to sit amongst understandable colleagues and can discreetly vape at work every now and again. But, I'm also well aware that if I produced huge clouds of vapour then it wouldn't be too long before our HR team compiled a new vaping policy that would send me outside to the smoking shelter.
So I guess sometimes its better that we don't over politicise the issue and just accept that we're in a better position than tobacco smokers. At the moment indecision is working on our behalf, whereas forcing a decision may result in a decision we do not wish for.

I guess there gonna start banning people on cold days, as the visible breath coming from there mouth could be mistaken for smoke! haha or maybe ban farting in public because of the toxicity of some peoples farts..
