Does this mean they will take down all the posters advertising ecigs as well then as they are actively prompting ecigs.

Of course they wont, they get money from them, if British Rail had a ounce of common sense they would start selling them themselves to bring more money in.

Never had a problem Vaping on trains either in this country or Ireland - even been told tis fine to use by both sets of train staff and done a Q&A for them a couple of times

Have 2 or 4 long (7+ hours) trian trips coming up in the next 10 days - and will test the water and post me findings

Problem is the BMA are still using outdated & now incorrect information . . (probably should be mis-information) from 4yrs ago, too lazy & ignorant to bother bringing themselves up to date.

The trouble is that the train companies can bring in by-laws to ban pretty much whatever they want.

That's good to see. Let's hope it's a success on Virgin so the other companies will come to realize what a bunch of prats they've been.

I think, as with the proposed medicalisation of vaping, the authorities will have some very difficult questions to answer, if bans are put in place. If past experience is any guide, they will deal with this by ignoring them, and answering the questions they prefer. As with so many areas of life, if you have the power, you don't need to be right; if you don't have power...let's just say that being right isn't as much help as you'd imagine.

Discretion being the better part of TCB, I see the cig-alike form factor continuing to be a part of our lives for a while yet. All in black, perhaps. with an opaque black cap over the LED

I have not tried to vape in places where there is a no smoking policy, it wouldn't cross my mind to. I know it's not smoke but I would just assume you can't, just probably politeness to the pubic around me. I don't vape around my children, or indoors. Maybe because I know there is nicotine in the vapor it just puts me off. So I take it you could vape and now you can't? Maybe some people have been blowing out large clouds of vape? Maybe it isn't the ecig itself but some of the peoples use of it, in public places?

At the end of the day vapours would be exhaling nicotine in a closed environemnt, I can understand other peeps concerns.

The nicotine may only be the in same quantities as a potato but I suspect they would also ban potatoes if I started smoking them on the platform.

well im still glad i live in Portugal
in the bar last night playing pool had the vamo in 18350 mode with aga t on top and the Portuguese bar made keep looking so over i walked and in my best Portuguese i said is this a problem its an electronic cig and let out a huge cloud she said ah no problem its big my reply was yes its English they are all very big with a cheeky smile she laughed and wondered off to tell her friend what i had said
