Hi everyone i have been off the ciggies for 6 weeks tomorrow. Have just invested in EGO-CE4 1100mAh Deluxe Kit which is brilliant. Few questions though. How long does cartomizer last, should I clean it weekly or just buy new ones ? What is best to order pg/vg ratios and what stores for e juice would u recommended? And lastly if money was no object what bit of kit would u recommend. I am so happy with vaping can't believe I've managed 6 weeks with some heavy duty partying weekends thrown in I was a 20-30 a day smoker ....this site is fab by the didnt realise so many peeps into vaping angie

Well done and welcome,
I use carto's and clearo's till they stop working, used to boil them but didn't notice any improvement in lifespan.
Anything else I just wash and dry when I change the head.

Hi Angie, and I am newish also so someone with much more knowledge than me will be along. Your ce4 though is a clearomiser, a cartomiser is a different thing, just wanted to point that out for when you go shopping. Stick around here and you will do a lot of shopping The ce4 you can clean by washing it in hot water, or you can give it a denture tablet or vodka bath, basically pop the ce4 into a filled container and leave it overnight, next day rinse thoroughly - you will then have to leave it to dry thoroughly before using again. Some do not like this at all though . Ce5's and updated ce4's are rebuildable ( you buy a new coil/ head this is the wick part ) I personally would not do this and I would not have another ce5 given but that is just my choice. Update wise depends on how much money you want to spend. As a newbie, the next step up battery wise would be a vision spinner, or an ego twist, they are like what you have now but give you control over the flavour you taste .There is more to it than that but that is the best way to explain it. Regarding the bit that you put on top, the world is your oyster. I wouldn't say it is updating more of finding what you like. For something similar to what you have the I-clear 16 is fantastic- but it is thirsty you need to fill it more. Other popular ones are the evod, protank and the nova.

Hello & welcome to the forum, angie7367 & well done on your 6 weeks! You'll love your new kit, easy to use & very satisfying. I won't answer anything on cleaning clearos, as I'm a vaping slapper & don't bother. Mind you, my clearos still last an age, so I feel I get my monies worth.

Good job. The clearomiser (your CE4) wouldn't even last me a week. (I think I am just odd like that, I don't vape much but any kind of bad taste annoys the hell out of me.) As it's non-rebuildable, throw it away or try one of the various methods for cleaning stuff. Personally, I'd get a rebuildable one and replace the heads only. Trying to bring back a CE4 is an exercise in time wasting futility i.m.o. As for e-liquid, a popular ratio is 70/30 PG/VG. I would mostly prefer that, though 50/50 can be good too. If money is no object, buy a Provari and some posh atomizers. In the real world, any kind of variable voltage/variable wattage device with a good tank system will do the job.
