Haha poochops (love that handle BTW!) I was going to say the same thing. I recoil my heads the moment they stop performing - it costs about 5p to recoil with wick and wire, and I've always got fresh crackling heads - bargain! 5p.....wow, I really must do this

Here's the (basic) maths:- I've just ordered from Vape-atomizer-mesh.com the following - 1xm 2mm silica, 1xm 2.5mm sical, 1xm 3mm silica, 1xm 2mm Ekowool and 5m .2 Kanthal wire (and they threw in a metre of .2 NiChrome which I have given to a friend). All in that came to £8.49 delivered IIRC. That should be enough to recoil easily 100 heads, and I have wire and wick left over from my last order, so make that 150 heads. Certainly no more than 10p per head - you will waste a bit of wick and wire getting the first 10 right, but after that you will get quicker and more efficient, and I've done 3 today, not one of them took more than 2 minutes from getting out the gear to packing up and trying out the new head. There are loads of videos about showing the technique - what heads do you use? - I'll pop up a few links for you to watch and bookmark!

Me too! But as well nowadays I tend to change my Evod and even protank heads after 2-3 days any way, the way I look at it is why bother with one that's even 20% below par when a fresh one tastes great? intelicide have you thought about getting some wick and wire when you go the shop next? It'll save you loads and you can change heads with abandon ! I have wound coils for radios before so why not. I suppose it works out cheaper in the long run and for me the flavour side of this is a big part of why i do it,so if it means better taste for longer, ill give it a go.......so much to do just to get set up. In another two weeks you'll be putting dual coils in drippers with your hands tied mate! It's all downhill from here but I bet your wire work will look spectacular! You may even be the first to pick up the shipping forecast on an Evod

Since we are on the subject of wire,is the voltage to coil AC,DC or PWM?

But, it's so very worth it. For many vapers, rebuilding/coil building is part of the fun. Though I've yet to get great enjoyment from that, though it is very satisfying when you make something that works. Bit like how early man must have felt when he first created fire! Since we are on the subject of wire,is the voltage to coil AC,DC or PWM? Whoosh over my head that question Inteli . . . we use a Nickel Chrome (NC) and Kanthal resistance wires to build coils generally.

Since we are on the subject of wire,is the voltage to coil AC,DC or PWM? intelicideIf it's a Ego type battery or a variable voltage it's PWM. If it's a mechanical MOD straight DC (from the battery).
