Right exciting vape mail day and my first RBA a five quid Igo L clone from FT
But either mine is faulty or I am being really dim but how do you get the cap off? Vids of the real one seem to show it just pulls off, far too easily in fact. But this seems jammed on...do I need to unscrew the screw things? Surely they are not holding it in? It's come prewicked so don't want to wreck the coil....the drip tip comes out fine but the cap but doesn't seem to detach...it must do if course but buggered if I can see how
Am I just being stupid here? Google is not helping me...

Oh lord I am so dim, it just needs to be attached to something! Screwed into a battery and it pulled straight off.
I'm not sure I'm safe to be let loose with thing let alone rebuilding it!!! lol

I still can't believe I've spent 20 mins trying every way to prise the cap off and then searching the Internet for help before posting here and only then trying to attach it to something. Not sure I dare out any juice in it lol

If it's any consolation to you Dreamy, I made the same mistake as well expecting it to be a screw fit.

Don't worry dreamylittledream , I'm having the same problem with a carto & drip tip - I know it comes out, as I put it in there myself no more than 30 minutes ago

Oh dear - affixing it to a cheap battery may not have been the best idea - it just killed one of my cheap FT VV batteries - tried to pull the cap off and the whole centre post came off it - wires dangling and everything - its definitely dead dave.
Right pliars are a better idea holding the threaded end - that gets the cap off - not risking my precious spinner or itaste with meeting the same fate.
Okay I've put some juice in it and its on one of the ego backups, in case of anymore batterycide - but not getting a lot of vapour - flavour is incredibly strong, incredibly strong in fact but very little vapour happening. This is probably something to so with the airhole right? Its got duel coils out of the box and only one air hole which might be an issue? Trying to get the airhole over one of the coils but this isn't quite what I was expecting - my new protank is pumping out the vapour but without the taste strength. This feels a bit feeble. Its a bit messy too. This is not quite the fill and go experience of a bcc clearomiser now is it?
Feeling a bit sick now from the nicotine I think, better give it a rest for a bit...

After my less than perfect day, I'm using my IGO-L RDA on my back-up Vamo (don't ask!) - I had the same issue getting the cap off, I use an old eGo 650 battery for vaping it now, if I disembowel it, tough! They can be a bit fiddly to begin with, but like everything it's a learning curve. Once they are juiced up that should get you through 10 minutes of flavour bliss, and then either top up, or change juices - bargain!

Hi Dreamy I bought one a while back and i was a bit surprised how tight the draw was on it. Before drilling it out i decided to re wick it (if i remember rightly the wicks were very loosely coiled? ) but it did nt really make any difference. I have been lazy with it and its sitting on its lonesome waiting to be drilled out(Im planning on enlarging the one air hole in it and putting another one on the other side so hopefully that ll help it along) Like you, i found it a beggar to get it to separate but i used an old 10s cigalike i had from early toe dipping days which worked a treat and after a few times it soon loosened of and now it can be prised off with my fingers easy enough but hard enough to not worry about it falling apart . I m not overly enthusiastic about it just now so unless increasing the air holes helps it along i dont think its a great entry level dripper for us newbies to try out. Just my experience of it and hope it helps

Keep an old knackered Ego battery specifically for the purpose is the best bet. I still use a Modder's tanks with clearo innards, so it's handy for gutting them as well.

You could also change the rubber o-ring, which is what I did on my Igo-L, as it was too tight.

dreamylittledream did you manage to get your battery back together? No broken wires I hope.

Mind you, I was discarding new batteries with abandon then, thinking they were duff . . . when infact it was the USB lead that was borked, so you probably had a new battery after all. It's still done well though.
