Vaping to stop smoking

Hi guys, hope that I get some replies to this as I'm a new member & I'm just learning the ropes to this forum site it's all new to me.

I'm a smoker of around two years, & I wanted to give up after a little family health scare we had a while back & I was just whondering to hear some of your stories about whether you've done the same thing in doing & how well you coped with the change. In all honesty I'm really enjoying vaping for many reasons.

1. The range of great flavours available.
2. the nicotine delivery feels really smooth, it's more of a longer lasting buzz than the crap ciggy head rush.
3. I can do it in the house (I'm a young man & i live with my parents, we agreed I won't smoke in my bedroom a while ago)
4. My parents are happy I'm off of the cigs & don't mind me vaping around the house etc.

I have the Tornado RCS Kit from Totally wicked at the moment, as of writing this I'm enjoying some cinammon fluid it's lovely.

So yeah guys & girls, I'd love to hear your stories & stuff!

Well done sir!
I am a heavy smoker of 25 years and had no real intention of giving up. I came across vaping quite by accident as I was researching something else and thought I'd give it a whirl... Of course I liked the idea that I could "stealth vape" at work and other places where I could no longer smoke!
Six months later, I am enjoying this as a new hobby and have learned a lot, especially from the good people on this and other forums.
My first few days, I had a few vapes in between smoking, then for a few days it was a few smokes in between vaping.
Then I felt like I had to try every device and juice that I could find and the smokes got set aside.
A few times, in moments of despair or angst, I've reached for the smokes but every time I've put it out long before finishing it.
The fact is that tobacco tastes disgusting.
Never mind the health risks, it simply stinks.
So I'm happy to say that I have no desire to smoke any more and my family and my lungs are all happy about that development.

Thanks J! that's great to hear! I've gone for two days at the moment, I've tried stopping before buy crashed & burned as I was effectively going cold turkey! With this device I'm getting the nicotine & although temptation is hanging over me, it's not been too hard thankfully :') I know it's very early days at the moment but with this bad boy I can enjoy myself and vape away anywhere I fancy, I love this thing!

Great that you have started Vaping and keep it going. There are lots of people on this forum who will give advice and loads of shiny things to take your mind of stinkies.

Was the other way round in this house - my kids nagged me to stop smoking and I have been off the stinkies for 6 months today. Took 2 weeks to finally stop but now whenever i feel the urge for a fag I pick up my favourite flavour and have a few long puffs.

Thank you for the reply & the kind words I'm already starting to feel better for it, my breathing is better & I feel a lot more, just well haha! (I'm 19 but my fitness isn't exactly at its peak) :L

That was my intention at first to use it when needed, but I just end up constantly vaping, still no harm done hehe It's either because its new to me or its so damn good! I think it maybe both

Don't get me started on the shiny things! I'm a gadget addict as it is, & I'm spoilt for choice with vaping devices & mods etc :') like a kid in a sweet shop!!

Maybe it's time to spend a bit of that money youre saving on shoes - oops the kids -oops joining a gym or doing another sport.

That was another nag from the kids cos I don't get out much apart from work. Maybe it's cos I'm cooking and looking after them.

I've been off the stinkies for over 11 months now, and haven't had the slightest desire to go back. I found the whole giving up thing almost embarrassingly easy, and I am now cutting down my nicotine levels bit by bit. I mix my own juices so have complete control over the amounts of flavouring and nicotine that I vape.
Well done so far!!
