That's fantastic Dolly, I've been following the thread, but I didn't know what to say I had a cat go missing for a couple of months once then reappear, but I also found one on the road, which is not an experience I would want anyone to have, and well .... just over the moon this was a happy ending

Thanks dragon it had been on my mind a lot that she may have been run over. We live in a quiet street but there's a big main road at the end of it.

Blownupdolly I told you `good things` happen to `good people`. Delighted she is home safe and sound with her `loving/caring` family. So happy for you and Bill, who need not now walk the streets looking for her. "Great News".

That is great news dolly, I can't imaging how worried you must of been. Extra fusses all round I'd say

So happy for you and Bill, who need not now walk the streets looking for her. "Great News". That's the first thing I said to Bill. At least he won't have to pound the pavements in the rain today. Hasn't stopped all day. Thanks everybody for your good wishes. Might sound trivial to some people, but when you have to spend a lot of time on your own indoors, your furry family become very important.

Blownupdolly - I'm soooooo glad she's back. Haven't posted 'till now, as I don't think I'd've helped much. I'd have only recounted the time, about 15 years ago, Sooty-Whiteness disappeared for 3 1/2 weeks, and returned one night, stick-thin - we thought he's been shut in someone's shed/garage whilst they'd been on holiday. Every day & night the surrounding streets were walked, calling & whistling for him to no avail. More recently, Willow seems to do one between every month and six weeks. She's away for 2-7 days, and generally returns about 2 AM, announcing her arrival as she climbs the stairs, wnting to be fed Every time, we get that 'heavy feeling' in our stomachs, but so far, she's not failed to return. Still, glad she's back safe and sound. (Bet Mr Dolly is as well - he can hide in his Man Shed rather than tramping the streets)

I can tell you now (did nt think it appropriate whilst you were still worried)
I found the kitten (lucky) when i was taking my dog for a walk some years back(had been abandoned, full of worms and just a mess) anyways got him all sorted out at the vet and he moved right in.
After we moved he got out one night and just never came home (i was working away from home on an island in the north west of scotland at the time so it was horrible knowing i could nt go searching for him.)
Never got him back and that was 8 years ago now and even now when driving through that area of edinburgh i still look for him.
Yep they get under your skin thats for sure and im glad you had a happy ending .
