Yeah - great decision! I have never owned an Evod, but they are made by the same company that make the Protanks which I use all the time, and I know they are highly regarded by many on this forum. Make sure you get enough juice to get started, in a variety of different flavours, and a second battery for a back-up/something to use whilst the first one is charging. If you can't afford a second kit straight off, make it your next purchase so that you are covered - you will also gain a second charger for a backup too!

Great decision, well done Rough estimate a head should last you about 2 weeks. Some juices gunk them up faster, and ofc it depends how much you vape and how often you clean them out and how.

My clearo heads last a good few weeks, but that's probably because I have 5 or 6 e-cigs on the go at any one time, all with different flavours, so I switch between them all permanently. So none of them get particularly hot because I have a few puffs then switch. The menthol gets more of a hammering but I use a mini Davide for that one.

Hi there Wanttoquit, I had the same problem with Nicocig brand of lookalikes. I don't think any of the cartomisers in this type of product stand up to there claims. I moved on to ego type batteries cleartomisers and bought juice. I had a thirty a day stickies habit, and went to vape only, I used to get through about two and a half Nicocig carto's a day. Now I use one tank of juice a day, and it costs me about £1.00
Cheers Carl

I am in exactly the same situation as wanttoquit, I've been using greensmoke for about 3 months and was looking for reviews today on the ok ecigs as they are sold in Asda and are cheaper. I've had a duff batch of cartomisers from greensmoke. They were supposed to be menthol but have a horrible bitter taste instead, they are going to be returned promptly but in the meantime I'm left with 10 usable cartomisers so needed something as a stop gap. However having joined and browsed the forum I'm now very tempted to give the refillable option a try. I used to smoke about 10 cigs a day but find greensmoke's cartomisers only last 1 day if I'm lucky. My consumption hasn't increased, I can't smoke or be seen vaping at work. So although it is cheaper it's not turning out to be significantly so. I know absolutely nothing about the refillable alternatives. I had a quick glance at the pics of peoples vaping equipment, I was stunned, they looked like mini science labs! So I shall be scouring the forum for advice and picking peoples brains for the best starter kits ..

wanttoquit tmg I'd like to congratulate on your wise decision to start your vaping journey. AAEC is by far the friendliest forum Im a member of including forums on different subjects. Theres some very good advice of advice on the equipment front already. One piece of advice I'd like to offer on the e-liquid front is don't expect to throw them into your new clearos and vape away thinking oh my this is a great vape and tastes delicious. Some e-liquids can taste a bit rubbish on first trying this is because they may need steeping which is giving time for the flavours to develop and bond with the nicotine bases. Joosejuice offer great value with there 10ml samples to get you going but they will need steeping to get the maximum from them, after steeping for a couple of weeks most are very good indeed. I suggest trying to find some pre steeped liquid, perhaps the classifieds on here or T-Juice liquids seem pretty good to go. I just got 10ml of Afro Dizziac and it's very nice with no home steeping. I'm just offering this little snippet as many of the respected vendors on here mix batches to order and I wouldn't like you to be put off by liquids not tasting as good as you were led to believe. Welcome to you tmg. You won't go far wrong with this kit: myepack.co.uk/evod-starter-kit.htmlSomeone at work has just bought two on my recommendation as a ' step up ' from a cigalike . . . both she and her BF are delighted with them. There's always the option of a stealth vape in the loos at work . . . . .

Hi tmg, welcome to our merry band! Don't be put off my some of our members big shiny toys, what a lot of us have found is that vaping has become a hobby rather than just a nicotine delivery system, and we like "toys" we can tinker with. Vaping can be whatever you want it to be. From simply vaping using cigalikes or basic kits just replacing the carto or heads as they reach the end of their life all the way up to the alchemist diy eliquid makers and gadget freaks who want to build coils and adjust everything! I also love receiving mail so vape mail has become very exciting to me I would definitely suggest at least going to the evod level as you will be able to enjoy the juices so much more for a relatively small outlay.
