The calm before the storm

Not sure tbh.
They wanted to get us in today because there is five women due for c-sections tomorrow.
I'd have to say today is probably a no go - dammit 4 hours sleep and now I'm awake.

Hmmm I don't how that works then, I had an emergency c- section but had been in labour for 8 hours, they probably won't want Mrs K to go into labour, when is her due date?

Thursday but she was going for elective c-section (our first was emergency c-section after 8 hours or so of induced labour.)
Quite rightly emergencies take precedence, we may be looking at sitting in assessment all day tomorrow with no luck again.
But each time we go in we have to leave our 3 yr old with his nan and he's got school tomorrow so it's starting to mess him about as well.

It's getting tiring now, I started my paternity leave on Friday as well and I only get two weeks so this is less time to help wifey after the baby is born.

Just spoke to the hospital, they are manic again.
We have to ring them back at 9.30 if we haven't heard anything before.

Losing your paternity time is a pain, and poor little one, it must be confusing for him going backwards and forwards to Nan's,

Having a baby is trying and emotional enough with all the to-ing and fro-ing fingers crossed for you all x x x

Yup, it's been an emotional roller coaster and nothings actually happened yet hehe
If not today we will try again tomorrow but if that falls through we'll have to scrap the elective route and I'll go back to work and we'll wait up to three weeks for it to happen "naturally" or not as the case will probably be.

It's not fun tbh but we have to go with the flow.
As we learnt the first time there's nothing easy about childbirth so we expect it to all go Pete tong now ;-)
