Hi ionian and welcome from me. Sounds like you have made a good start
You will need to stock up with clearomisers or better try some EVOD's. They have replaceable heads (as do some of the clearomisers) so get some of those as well. All these types of things are "consumables" so you can only refill a few times before they need changing. You can usually prolong the life of a coil (head) by cleaning it and dry burning it (i.e. with no liquid in) so as to burn off the gunk that accumulates on the coil.

Just to prove the experience here is invaluable: you were all right! Surviving work today with only the occasional opportunity to vape a 6mg juice was difficult. However, I'm determined that this is the way I'm going to quit smoking so I've persevered, and haven't had a real cigarette today. I'm therefore in a bit of a mood, but better news greeted me when I got home - my testers from the Alchemists cupboard have arrived, and as they are 18mg strength, tomorrow should be easier to deal with.

I've got bananas and cream, choc strawberry, mivvi strawberry, Turkish delight and vodka & lime to look forward to. Not very manly but I have a sweet tooth Should I be worried about any of these flavours cracking my clearomizers?

As I say, the advice here has been spot on and so with that in mind I've ordered several EVODs and spare coils.

My CE4s are already a little gunky - how often should I clean them? I'll have a google for the best ways to do this, but if anyone has a good link, please post it up! Ditto dry burning.

Thanks Charon - that's really useful. I took it apart, gently wiped away the gunk and changed to Mivvi Strawberry. The taste is fantastic! Much less chemical than my original juice, really tasty. Plus the vapour is richer and more satisfying - not sure if this is down to the mix or the strength, but either way it's a much nicer experience.

I'm a much happier ionian now!

The evods arrived today. They sure do look pretty in stainless steel with my kit, and I tried out a little bananas and cream in them. The juice is ok and the tanks work well so I'm happy. Today has been so much easier with the stronger juice, and I can't get enough of that strawberry mivvi from the alchemists cupboard - if I didn't have so many other juices at the mo, I'd definitely be ordering it by the bucket load!

just a little tip, make sure of your tastes before you order loads of any one juice. you will suprised just how quick our taste buds can alter or even go on holiday It's advisable to keep a small bottle of menthol juice for when that happens, half an hour or so and everything should wake up again...

Ok - will do. I've got a bunch of samplers at the mo, as well as the tobacco flavoured juices that also arrived today from paradise vapes, so I certainly don't need to buy any more at present. I've never really like menthols - is there something special about the menthol juice? I've read others comment on bad vaping days - what's the deal with them?

I'm a bit worried that the tobaccos were a bad buy, just because I'm really enjoying the fruit flavours at the moment, but I guess there's no harm in having some variety. Loads left to try!

Thanks Chrissie - I'll keep it in mind, but if truth be told I haven't even tried them yet I guess I'm still enjoying the novelty factor of having sweet flavours, as I said before I have a really sweet tooth. I think the tobaccos will be nice after a big meal, that after dinner desire to smoke will take a while to leave me I think!

I have plenty of tanks now so I can carry a variety of flavours with me and enjoy mixing it up.

Just a quick update - it's been a big day for vaping generally, but a little milestone for me - one week without stinkies! I've mostly been vaping bananas and cream for the past couple of days, with some vodka and lime when I need something to cut through - very refreshing

I'm only getting through half an evod a day, but it's working well for me and I really love the variety of flavours, not to mention the fact I can vape in the house, and in the car I've never felt so positive about giving up before. My power of smell is improved (which is great apart from the smell our two kittens leave after their dinner), no wheezing in bed, and no cough in the morning. Wonderful!

I'm checking the site every day but haven't contributed much outside this thread as yet - but still finding the info here invaluable. Thanks all!

When I first started ............Jesus its over a year now........ I started with 36mg of Benson Fences from Paradise vape and that stopped ANY cravings in their tracks, its all a learning curve, to some people one thing tastes nice, to others it tastes pants, then after a while one thing that you liked so much loses its edge so you find something else, but one thing for sure......its better than fags
