Good news: my kit arrived today, along with the 6mg juices I ordered. I'm still waiting on the 18mg juices to arrive, but I can have a go with what I've got.

I've only just got in from work, so the first battery is on charge. Would it be terrible to not fully charge it the first time, just so I can have a go this evening? Anyone have experience with trying this. I think they're Li batteries, so it should be fine, but I don't want to compromise battery life long term...

I hAd my last cigarette at about 7.30pm. I've had several last cigarettes before, so I didn't stand on ceremony. Now I have the urge again, so I've filled up with "golden Rollie" and we'll see what this is all about.

First few hits are quite nice - it's a very sweet mix, but the throat hit is good, just like a cigarette. I don't seem to be blowing lots of vapour out - hope everything's working ok! I usually hold smoke in my mouth before taking it down - this seems less successful with vaping.

I may have overfillied the clearomizer a bit but it doesn't seem to be leaking. All in all fairly satisfying, and very similar to a cigarette. I seem to get more flavour when blowing out through the nose whilst inhaling.

I'm not sure if it's quenching my cravings or not at the moment, as it's a bit of a weird experience - for a start I'm indoors: I haven't smoked indoors since I lived on my own which was about 7 years ago!

I'm not sure when to stop. Do other people take a hit when they feel like it, or do you smoke in bursts (like you would a burning cigarette)? I guess there's no right or wrong way, just curious as to others preferences.

Well there you go: my stream of consciousness as I take my first wobbly steps on this journey. Not exactly great prose but captures my initial thoughts

Vape as much as you like to keep the ciggie cravings away ionian

but, if you do really feel like a ciggie, have one. It's early days, your still getting used to your set up and still need to find a juice or few that really suits you. Just count the ciggies you haven't smoked not the ones you do

Try taking a few chugs first, rather than one big inhale as you would on a cigarette Ionian . . . you might find you build up a bit more vapour that way.

But there's no right or wrong really, just what suits you and keeps the cravings at bay. I vape constantly if I can.

The most liberating thing for me, was taking an ecig upstairs and vaping in bed. Felt extremely decadent doing that at first.

ionian all I can remember from my first experience was that it was better than I expected, and certainly worth perservering with. The liquids are the key, finding one that you like. It is way better than the alternative... spending more and more just to kill yourself. So, have faith and you will get there.

Make sure that you drink plenty of liquid  (water ,beer tea or coffee)as well.And welcome to OUR forum

Depends how strong the flavours are really Ionian . . . you can rinse your clearos out/ leave them to soak, but then you'll have to wait for the internal gubbins to dry out.

Although some time with a hair dryer can help speed that along.

Or you could top up with a new flavour and vape through the change, how experimental do you feel.

ionian as you only have 6mg juice, you are going to need to vape quite a lot to take in enough nicotine to stop the cravings. Even with a higher nic level, you will most likely find you need to vape for longer than you smoked a real cig as we absorb the nicotine from the vapour in a different & slower way than smoking.

Well I've really enjoyed it this evening, although embarrassingly it turns out that the first juice I tried was the mango - I thought it was sweet! The golden rollie is much more like cigarette smoke. And the really good news: I haven't had a real cigarette since I started, nor have I wanted one. It's very early days but that's a big win as far as I'm concerned

Good point about the strength Chrissie - I'm hoping that the stronger stuff arrives soon and will get me through the day at work, then I can enjoy a leisurely vape in the evenings with a weaker juice.

I'm not sure how tomorrow will be whilst at work - I'm going to take my baccy as well I think, but try not to use it. I'm not so worried about how the vaping looks now - I like it, it's better for me and everyone else can think what they like

I could do with some more clearomizers, as I have loads of different flavours on the way. I presume from previous comments that people would recommend evods over the CE4s - does anyone have a recommendations for a good, cheap and reliable supplier? Multipacks are welcome.

Evods or Iclear16's would be my suggestions Ionian . . . the Iclear's are for me, everything the CE4's weren't.

well done ionian great start. You'll see the difference straight away with a stronger juice, it'll be far easier to keep the cravings away. I smoked roll-ups for years, started vaping 24mg, and that did it for ditching the stinkies
