Well, it's now been 7 days since I ordered the iTaste VTR from Fairy Gift on 25th on the promise that they had their stock and would dispatch immediately via DHL 3 day.
On 27th 'Justin', from Fairy Gift, said it had "already shipped out via DHL".
According to the tracking number, which I've had since 30th, its status is "Shipment information received" - which means it has not even been picked up.
Fairy Gift lied. Badly.
I'm half expecting it's not even going to get into DHL's hands until 7th.

Give them a public flogging on Twitter, it tends to get things moving along or at least an explanation.

barrynorton I wouldn't be so hasty in calling Fairy Gift liars as packages from Fasttech for example will remain in this status with Singapore Post for up to 4 - 5 days. It has almost certainly been picked up and is going through the Chinese customs processing system.

Thanks, didn't think of Twitter. Not sure anyone's going to be even monitoring that until 7th now.

Also remember Barry that China is practically shut down this week (1st - 7th) due to the national holiday.

I don't know which, but the point was they announced that this was going immediately via DHL precisely because of the holiday.
I placed the order on 25th when they claimed their stock was ready to go. On 27th they claimed it had.
They had two working days before their holiday (which they took from 30th) to make up for that lie.

So someone isn't/hasn't told/telling the truth...... My experience would tell me that couriers are not the most truthful members of society. Will you be able to prove who is misleading you, probably not.

Well, with whatever grain of salt I take DHL's on-going status, they only created the record on 30th so they were not even involved on the 25th, 26th or 27th and therefore FastTech lied at least twice.
If anyone can think of any other way this can have occurred than Fairy Gift sitting on my order for three whole days, requesting DHL the following Monday (30th), then disappearing on holiday so DHL couldn't pick it up, I'd like to hear it.

Doesn't help I know, but if you want something quickish, pay and order locally, if not be very very patient.

Personally I've come to the conclusion that anything bought from China will take longer to arrive than I'd like and less than I'd feared, its the sacrifice I take for rock bottom prices. Sad to say but I buy vaping stuff like some sort of addict, dozens upon dozens of orders in less than 6 months and from china, USA, eu, and loads of vendors in the uk; the only swift route is uk, simple as that. Whatever I'm told from a Chinese vendor about delivery I've learned to take at most as an acknowledgement they've got my order, it'll turn up when it turns up, if I need it on time I'll order it from the uk. That said if you paid extra for DHL the least they should do is give you a credit, but the timing to sort it out is terrible

This is what annoys me - I was all set to have a walk up to UK eCig Store, have a look and buy one... then Fairy Gift announced they'd send out immediately (before the UK stock arrived) and have them here in 3 days via DHL. This makes me angry.
I didn't pay extra for DHL, that was their offer (due to the impending holiday). I'd no issue paying whatever (reasonable) price - I wasn't looking to save money really.

Bummer really, if you send them an email it's likely going to get lost in all of the others received over their holiday, if you wait till after they get back its likely you'll have received the Itaste by the time they read it anyway and they'll be like 'well what's the problem?' I'd still contact them, well actually I wouldn't I'd have a vape and brood a bit then chalk it up to experience but I'm too laid back for my own good, pisser though

My vape is currently poor as I'm waiting for iClear heads from FT (and a Protank and heads from Focalecig).
I should learn a lesson from this...

Damn it, back to the CE4+s I recoiled. Now that the iClears are on their way out these seem pretty decent.
