Okay, first off I am retired and a lazy git to boot!!
But recently we bought a 16 year old caravan that has been lying on a farm for years. It's boggin'.
Last week we finally brought it to my workshop and since then I have been there everyday, scrubbing the roof, walls, everything and slowly out of the grime, shiny paintwork is starting the appear.
But here is the strange part. Since I started doing a bit each day, the wattage that I was comfortable with for the past year, is now way to much. I was vaping at 7.5w and now I am content with just 5w. It is not as if I am vaping more, quite the opposite. When I am working I hardly touch the e-cig and batteries that were doing me for about 8 hours are now lasting me 16+ hours.
Clearly when I am lazing about I use more e-juice, possibly from boredom, but I expected to need a stronger vape more often when I was working, but the opposite is true. Anyone else finding themselves using more when they are not doing a lot?

I'm the same. It must be the distraction factor when we are engaged in work coupled with the impracticality of using tools and holding an ecig at the same time. When I smoked I always had a ciggie hanging from my lips but the weight and size of an SVD plus iclear30 rules that out! I haven't noticed any effect on my wattage whether working or relaxing ... still 10 watts for the dual coil clearos I use.

I'm the same, and was with smoking. If I'm busy I don't think about it as much because I'm distracted.
Also with vaping I find if I don't vape much I tend to vape lower wattage, it's like I build up immunity to it when I'm vaping a lot and need higher wattage for the same effect but when I'm not vaping as often then I don't need as much throat hit.

Different times of the day also affect how much ooomphage I enjoy. I can pick up something of a morning and think heck that's a bit strong, yet the night before it was just about right.

Yes tend to vape less when busy and occupied but don't change the wattage.

Like others, in the past, if I was busy I would vape less, but actually up the wattage, so I guess that over the day I would be vaping about the same. Judging by the amount of e-juice I went through this would appear to be correct.
But now and without knowing why, my consumption of e-juice has dropped by at least one third. Now whether this is to do with working or whether it is something else, I haven't figured out yet.
Not that I am complaining mind you but if this continues, my 11 years supply of Nic Base will grow to 16 years and I will be vaping until I am 82!!!!
Anyone know if I can get a battery box that will fit on a Zimmer?

(I'm not vaping, I'm merely relaxing ......)

For sure I notice this - Atm I'm off work for a few days and I've chuffed through about 3ml per day, easy, but when in my normal working routine I don't need anything like that - And yes, it's similar to when I was on fags as well.
During a working day a single 650 evod batt will last me all day with change, but being off work all day at home I'm having to rotate so that I use 2x batts plus per day.

Yes I was the same as a smoker as though I would smoke when I felt a bit bored or relaxing. I noticed I hardly vape much on days were there are not enough hours to get all my jobs done. I find it strange that I must get much less nic those days yet never get nicotine cravings, to be honest I can't remember the last time I did get a nic craving. It feels more of a habit now than anything else.

<<< to be honest I can't remember the last time I did get a nic craving. It feels more of a habit now than anything else.>>> Yes siffy, I am getting like that. There was a time when I thought I would be vaping for the rest of my life, having smoked for nearly 50 years. Now I am not so sure. I don't get nicotine cravings anymore, then again, maybe it wasn't the nicotine I was craving, but some of the other chemicals in cigarettes. I have started cutting down a bit on the nic strength of my e-juice and have not noticed any difference. I will keep cutting down, very slowly, until I do notice a difference. I might end up on no nic yet, but what the hell am I going to do with all this nic base I have in the freezer??????

I might end up on no nic yet, but what the hell am I going to do with all this nic base I have in the freezer?????? I will be honest I have wondered for a good few weeks if it was nicotine I actually craved too. I have no doubt in my mind that the chemical addiction was my real addiction as I went to hell and back going through the withdrawl of that. I ordered 24mg during this time as I'd reduced my 18mg to 11mg as I was getting blinding headaches. When the 24mg came the throat hit blow me away on the first toot and I am so sure it was the sensation rather than the nicotine that I needed. I jumped down to 18mg recently as I just knew I didn't need the 24mg anymore. I do understand that people say if you drop just vape more, you'll adjust. I however did check my puff counter to see if I was vaping more, yet I wasn't. That lead me to research is nicotine addiction a myth, I know I sound crazy..lol, but I could not make any sense of how I could have smoked heavily for 30 years and suddenly not crave nicotine, as I said I seem to just vape at habit trigger times, or to fill time. I did find some interesting reading on my theory but am not making claims that nicotine is not addictive, wouldn't dream of it, but my findings have left me in a comfortable state of mind that I, like you, can now slowly reduce my levels down. I am also during this reduction plan going to change my routine too. If anything I anticipate the throat hit will be the biggest problem for me so hopefully by reducing the nicotine slowly the throat hit will not be a drastic noticeable issue (fingers crossed) It's funny everything I have always believed about my 30 year addiction (you have 20 years on me so can totally understand you are suprised even more than me) seems to have been based on chemicals rather than nicotine. I could be totally wrong of course but I just know I'm onto something with my findings, well for me I am anyway. Maybe out bodies where all addicted to different aspects of the ciggy? Maybe some more to the nicotine than the chemical stew? I hear you about the nic in the freezer...lol. but if I was a betting lady I would bet money that you won't need it one day, I just have a feeling as I totally got your post and what you meant. I personally hope you do get down to zero as after 50 years of thinking your a slave to nicotine how liberating it would be to find out it wasn't the nicotine that had the hold we where always lead to believe it had, but instead for us the chemical stew. If you do do a reduction would you start a blog? I would be very interested to see how it goes for you.

<<<If you do do a reduction would you start a blog? I would be very interested to see how it goes for you. >>> Hi siffy, I'm afraid it would be a very long blog! I make up my main e-juice in 200ml batches and I only reduce by 1 or 2mg at a time! So it will take me to this time next year to get down to 18mg. Having tried to stop smoking so many times and failed, I am playing it very slowly and carefully this time. I reduce the MG level, then reduce the Wattage. Then if I reduce the MG again, I can always up the wattage if need be, without having to mix a higher batch. I just find it fascinating that I have two quite separate controls over how much nicotine I am actually vaping. Or indeed feel that I need to vape. But I will think about a Blog, if things continue on this route.

I'm with you on that Perpetua I also find the VC I made is perfect in the mornings, but find it a bit lacking later on in the day, saying that that's what I'm vaping now, i didn't say it was horrible did i Lol
