I'm no expert on any of this, but it still feels like a victory. As a mixer, if nic base is restricted to 30mg then I'll just have to work with what's available. It's not ideal, but my feeling is that, for now at least, we can see a future for vaping and DIY mixing whereas before the vote that future was very uncertain.

I think there will be lots of details to be looked at, I and I am sure loads of others will be talking to various "in the know" people to find out what's what regarding Nicotine supply in above 30mg/ml and other issues.

This is step 1 on a long flight of stairs, but the feeling that we can progress is now a lot stronger.

You know some of you are down about 30mg/ml limit but in reality how many vapers is this going to affect? How many newbie vapers? I speak from experience as I started on 36mg/ml 2 years ago and that's what I needed but I was also hooked on the nasal spray. If folk need above 30mg/ml they can supplement with NRT off ebay. In reality it's not going to stop the majority of vapers like 4mg/ml would. Maybe it'll make it a little more expensive but they'll be no black market and right now vaping is as cheap as chips!!!!

So why be defeatist? Of course the devil is in the detail but still...I fought this war in aggressive mode. On my knees. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is on our side

For DIYers I get the feeling we may be seeing more concentrated flavourings so the 30ml limit may not be too serious for the majority of users. That is what I am hoping anyway and there is already a very concentrated (German, I think) flavour concentrate available although I haven't tried it.

I feel there may still be a fight ahead but I am hoping the EU decision will make things easier. At least it is not as clear cut as LMc thought.

on the serious bit, I'm with OneDay ok, so diy will become slightly more expensive, but it won't go away and there are good quality, reasonably-priced vendors out there which will still be supplying juice, so.....

The thing to remember is what was proposed with full med regs.
A full ban on everything we use today (I assume devices as well as juice.)
Now with the only limitation on juice itself (which is something we'll have to deal with at a later date) we have in effect been saved from certain doom.
Now that doom is quite a bit less certain lol
If the worst comes to the worst and the 30mg thing sticks, yes some higher end nic users will notice and prices of premixed and DIY will increase but it's easier to argue to raise the safe level of juice when most of it is allowed, much harder when everything is banned.
A lot of people may not even notice apart from a slight increase in juice prices due to the lower base levels allowed.
