Evod alternatives?

OH isn't getting on with his Evod, he says he isn't getting the same strength of taste and throat hit as he does with the atty/tank that came with my starter kit, no idea what they are called! link

I've read that filling some (all?) of the air holes in the base of the evod can make a difference so that's currently on trial, if that's a no go either can anyone recommend other clearos to try?

As this is a trial and error thing until he finds what he likes I'm not really looking for anything super pricey just yet

I prefer mini novas to evods myself. Less airy draw, and as the coil is at the top it's a warmer vape with (to me) better throat hit

I'm sick to death of my evods, i spend most of the time mopping juice off the top of the battery, or stuffing rolled up tissue down the spout!

I got a really cheap GS/H2 off ebay, been using it over a week and not one gurgle or leak from it, its my favourite by far, a bit "airy" perhaps, but still great vapour and throat hit, and i've not had to mop the top of the battery, or stuff tissue down the spout once, i've just ordered 5 of them!

As one day has said the mini novas are very good, especially the official vision ones. This however in my humble opinion this is better www.ukecigcabin.com/product/innokin-iclear- dual coil so a super warm vape, great throat hit and i have never had one that has leaked. Same as oneday not price checked but sadie is normally right on the ball price wise.

I would try a kanger mini protank, vapeonly bcc or an I clear 16 next. I have found them all to be pretty good wee clearomizers.

Another vote for the Iclear16 if he wants a more ' punchy ' vape Sassy . . . though the Vivi Nova's aren't too shabby either.

You can also get Dual Coil replacement heads for them, to pep up the vape:

As Perpetua says the Iclear16 might solve your OH problem. But do be aware they are Dual Top Coil items and can be a touch thirsty on juice consumption.(hell they soak the stuff up like a sponge)
Its this configaration that gives it such a strong vape/flavour. Suppose it's a question of balance between running costs and vape quality.
