I just made my first 10ml bottle, taking an easy approach using T-Juice "Minty the Toff" with some 54% VG nicotine and a bit of PG and VG to get a 50/50 PG/VG 12Mg mix. What I found hard was getting the nicotine liquid and VG to suck into the syringes I have (They came with the starter kit I bought at 28 Vapes) I diluted the VG with 10% Blue label Smirnoff, but it took ages to suck into the syringe. I guess I should ask what gauge needles you use with 1ml and 2.5ml syringes? Also, as I'm inverting the syringes as they go into the ingredient bottles, am I right to think that you measure the amount when it's upside down and that the top of the black plunger is where the measurement should align with the markings on the syringe? i couldn't resist putting a few drops into my Immortilizer RDA and it tasted great, so can only get better with a bit of steeping.. next I'll be trying a cucumber and butter mix! cheers

You can pour your ingredients into a measuring cup and then use the syringe without a needle to check your accuracy and to dispense into the bottle!
I think the needles I use are 14g, I think the lower the number the larger the hole in the needle?

You will be lucky to find needles larger than 14g. As Karma says, the smaller the gauge (g) number the larger the needle. I also pour my liquids into a beaker and then draw off the liquid from there. Drawing liquid from little bottles lead to accidents and spillages.

Sounds like your needles are too thin. Karma is right as usual, larger number means smaller needle. I think mine are 16s, but 14 would be fine. Yes, measure the reading when needle is down (still in bottle). Easiest to read if there's a little air above the liquid. You still need some patience with VG.

Just as a matter of interest .... assuming you have an accurate syringe, is the measurement true with or without the needle attached?

I find using syringes is far too faffy for my liking, so I use measuring cylinders.

For the Gloopy stuff i have found a graduated Pippette is the easiest thing to use.

Never use needles myself for drawing VG ( or anything ) up, when the level is too low in the bottle to reach with a syringe, then I just decant some off into a measuring cup and draw it up from there. No hard and fast really, just what suits you.
