Now that does make perfect sense :oIf you raise the wicks upwards(like i was doing)then you could be letting a large flow of juice into the cone.If you cut the wicks smaller and dont raise them up it should stop the leaking, bloody typical, ive sold and posted mine out,grr Now thats the only thing i never tried, well done mate for stopping the leaking. Yea I looked at my Stormy tank and thought cup/wick, it needs to touch the base so you dont leave pg/vg in the bottom ,just checked it again dry as a bone Put me down for 20 mtrs Tim

OK guys, I've been using this wick now throughout this evening... and it's working a treat. To recap the sample wick I was given is composed of 8 strands. One strand of this is Bulli thickness, so I took 3 strands and plaited them together to form an iAtty wick. and in both configurations it works flawlessly.
I've just tried taking three strands and keeping them loose, made an iAtty wick, and if anything, I'm getting more flavour! I don't know if this is due to more air and less dense wick... but it's given me something of a dilemma.
The first piece I cut off the sample was 7cm long. From this single piece, pulling apart the weave into strands I get 8 x 7cm strands. Now that's effectively 8 Bulli wicks or 2 iAtty wicks and a Bulli wick, or 1 iAtty wick and 5 Bulli wicks... can you see the dilemma yet? No... well, the wick is the same price, be it 3mm or 1mm, but effectively I'm getting 8 times the wick (for Bullis) at precisely the same price, and this is my dilemma. Do you guys think it's worth having that flexibility on simply tripling up on strands for an iAtty, and just having one wick that does both iAtty or Bulli, or do you guys want to go for a properly braided 1mm wick of Bulli size, that will cost exactly the same, but give you 7x less quantity of wick?
Add to this that the Ato-miser wick that I have is the equivalent of two strands of this... I'm thinking that there is far more flexibility, getting the 3mm... as for unbraiding it, it's a doddle. I cut off a length of the sample, the same length I would use for a Bulli... tugged at one of the strands and it came out. So it's not tightly woven, and is therefore minimum hassle to get a couple of strands out....
Thoughts?

I would say go for 3mm, also they already have it made no need for a special run of 1mm 200meters

There is still a MOQ though, which is a reel worth of wick, which if I remember rightly, he said there was about 150m on the reel...
I've bought wire from the buy my wire guy... it comes from Poland, but was really quick getting here. Two days I think it took.

It's no hardship to unravel the strands, go for the thicker one. I'm in!

If we can use the wick with the Iatty and the A2 its by using different numbers of strands sounds like a goer to me and the long search may be over lol

OK guys, I've set up a poll over at UKV, if you're not a member there, please let me know. I was going to do the same here, but the poll system here seems to only allow one question The poll can be found at ukvapers.com/topic/7447-fibreglass-wick-group-buy/
