Bloody hell Rawveg, don't be getting fiberglass in your eye! Goggles next time please I really should know better. I used to work with Fibreglass years ago... the problem is, I had a good sized sample of this stuff and have been using it regularly... and it's that familiarity in handling it that caused me not to think about the risks... Anyways, next time I've got Goggles, nitrile gloves and breathing mask all sorted and ready to use... oh and there will be a next time, the 2nd Coop is open for anyone who missed the first and are interested

That's only half of it! Clockworks needed his order urgently, so I sorted out his very large order first... and that was before my posting bags etc came!

Tim,
Would you advise use of goggles & gloves when we're wicking, or was it the sheer amount of cutting and packing that made you vulnerable?
Hope your eye is fully healed now btw.

Didn't realise my order had "jumped the queue" - much appreciated, Tim. I made your order a priority simply because I knew you were waiting on wick for the RTA. Figured that nobody else would mind given the circumstances

Thank you SO much for doing this Tim, although sorry to hear that you ended up in A&E. It's a pleasure Perpy... and it was my own silly fault. It's that old phrase "Familiarity breeds contempt"... so used to handling it in smaller quantities that didn't think of the consequences in larger quantities!

Tim, Would you advise use of goggles & gloves when we're wicking, or was it the sheer amount of cutting and packing that made you vulnerable? Hope your eye is fully healed now btw. Thanks Clutter, my eye was back to normal the following day. Thankfully eyes heal really quickly, and once it was flushed out with Saline it was just a matter of managing the irritation. As far as goggles and gloves are concerned, for insurance purposes (I don't want anyone suing me), I would say that they are a good idea... however, it really was just the quantity that I was handling that exasperated it. I will say though, that it is fibreglass. If you have sensitive skin, then I would strongly advise the use of nitrile gloves when handling fibreglass wick of any kind... If you normally don't have a problem, you should continue not to have a problem, considering the quantities involved though. What I am going to do, is to do some videos to assist usage of this wick, because it is a little different compared to the Bulli wick... not massively though. As Clockworks will attest, even with the 1mm wick, you should be using strands from the wick rather than simply cutting a piece off and using that. If you do that, you'll get almost a dry cartomiser sort of taste, because the amount of wick in the coil is simply too much. What I do, is to measure the piece of wick that I'll need, cut it off, and then separate it into strands, knowing that I'll have a number of good sized strands for a couple of more repairs. Easier to explain via video though I think, so I'll put together a couple and post both here and at UKV.
