Obviously, life-expectancy is possibly less then the life of the PC, so filing away all the software and windows DVD is essential. not really. AnandTech, a very well respected tech forum, recently calculated that a Samsung 840 (one of the worst SSDs you could/can buy), coud do 272TB of writes before you couldnt write to it anymore. Given that a reasonably heavy user would maybe write 20GB a day, that works out to 13600 days before it fails because of overuse. plenty of time, I think. Modern SSDs can endure far more than 272TB. link if you want the gory details. www.anandtech.com/show/6459/samsung-ssd-840-testing-the-endurance-of-tlc-nand

Not so good there djs, how long a life expectancy would you get from the ssd? Mine should make 5 years. Newer ones might be better. Depends on use. Not infinite.... Worth it if you can put your PC back together in the event of a disaster. However, the rate of failure in the first 2 years is LOWER than a traditional drive. So there's an upside. I see the question has been answered above. Nice

An SSD should last longer than that, to lengthen the life expectancy disable paging, hibernation, defrag, search index (if you don't rely on it)

All of our pc's have been built by cyberpower. All top specs, liquid cooled, customer service is really good and make pc world look like a charity shop. As these are top gaming pc's the graphics are stunning, playing Battlefield 4 at the moment on high res.
