Hi Guys Im new to this, I have been vaping for 3 weeks now and have not had a real cig snce I started vaping. I am using an ego 1100 and have just bought a iTaste VV V3.0 from paradise vape after reading some posts on here recommending it for the price and also a protank 2 mini. What size heads would you recommend I buy for the protank as they seem to come in 1.8, 2.2 and 2.5 ohm. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Kev

Seeing as you have the itaste now i would say 1.8. Somebody else might have other ideas though. The 2.2 is right in the middle and you cant go wrong with it. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2

Personally I'd go for 1.8 too that's what I usedto run on my vVivi novas and they gave a good vape, protank will be better imho though, and with the vv you can adjust to suit your needs

Nice to meet you kevslhif you're using a VV device like the itaste it doesn't really matter what ohm you use as you can adjust the battery to get the power that suits you. I tend to usually buy something in the middle, around 2 ohms

I'd imagine the 1.8 will offer less resistance which If I'm right will be slightly better for battery life.

Hello kevslh and congratulations on making the switch to ecigs Since you'll be using variable voltage or variable power it doesn't really matter which one you go for. A 1.8 ohm head would probably be the most versatile as it'd still give you a good vape if you choose to put it on the ego. However, if you used the higher resistance heads on your itaste a single battery charge would last longer (as you'd be using more volts but less amps at any given wattage). If you haven't done so already it'd be worthwhile bookmarking an ohms law calculator.

I think the minis come with 2.5 coils out of the box, but as everyone else has said it won't matter what you get with a variable wattage battery. I get 2.2 on both my minis and full sized protanks.

When I buy a new mini P, a take out the 2.5 heads and put them in with the big protank for later. Then, I use a 1.8 instead. It makes little difference on a VV battery, but sometimes, I need to use a standard battery. Standard battery with 2.5ohm.... not great.

Hi Guys Thanks so much for all your replies, I have went for the 1.8 ohm heads. I am loving this vaping lark and dont think I could have stopped smoking without it. I have picked up all sorts of helpfull info from this forum. Thanks for all the welcome messages. Kevslh

Welcome to you kevslh. I always go for 1.8ohm heads as they do peak off with use and that can be quite soon if you use an eliquid that tends to caramelize on the coil quicker than others.

Hi kevslh and to AAEC For a given battery voltage setting, higher resistance = lower amps = longer battery life and lower resistance = higher amps = lower battery life. Back in the day when I was using a 3.7v ego battery, I would have used 2.5 ohm atties to extend the battery life but with vv/vw I go for 1.8 ohms with a lower voltage setting as they give a better vape IMHO.
