Hi Folks
New to vaping, only been vaping 2 months. Started off with the usual ego, which after 4 weeks decided to go on fire. Purchased an itaste mvp for £18 from ebay which I am very happy with, 1 charge = 3 days. Here is my first grief encounter. Using a run of the mill evod tank, no problem, good vapour and excellent taste, protank 2 the same result. Using the iclear 30 and vivinova, nothing but aburnt taste. Tried new wicks, dry burning , removing flavour wicks adding flavour wicks still the same burnt taste. Is it possible that the itaste mvp just does not work well unless its a bottom coil juice holder ? Any tips would be appreciated.

Hello & welcome striker42 I'm going to have to leave it up to others to help you with your protank 2 as I don't have one myself.

It's not your MVP. No panic.
I suspect you are either running the Nova and iClear too powerfully or vape too fast for them to wick, or forget to swoosh the liquid around, or....
Top coil clearos, eh? They can be a pain. Patience is key with them, and the right juice.

Tried dropping the voltage on the iclear16? Its duel coil so punches harder and will taste burnt at a lower voltage than single coiled protanks or evods
That's said could just be a dodgy clearo

And yes the and swooshing is important - top coil stuff has no gravity to assist in wicking so swilling and tilting helps matters. Or you could just give up with top coil stuff and stick with the far more effective BCC attys lol

Thanks for the welcome Chrissie.
The protank 2 is fine as is the other evod. The issue I have is with the two tanks which are not bottom coils.
(ITS BETTER TO HAVE IT AND NOT NEED IT THAN TO NEED IT AND NOT HAVE IT)

Welcome to you striker42. I'd echo the gents . . . you're pushing too much power through the Iclear30 and the Vivi Nova. What setting do you have the MVP on?

Hello and welcome striker42 , what djs said, the mod just provides the current, the problem is elsewhere

I enjoy both bccs & top coil on my vamo & LT - your mvp is not going to be any different. Things to try - tipping/waving it about to make sure the wick has lots of juice in it; shorter draw; lower volts/watts; higher resistance attys; washing the atty more often If none of that provides a vape you like, stick to bcc or get an RBA Forgot to say !

striker42 - a big hi and welcome to the forum. Can only echo what has already been said, it seems to me that you are outrunning the clearo's wicking and not giving it enough time to replenish the juice on the wick. Drop the power a bit, and get swooshing!!

Thanks for all the replies, tried the swooshing and swirling (LOL) still the same. Gather from the posts above there could be a chance the top coil tanks would stand a better chance of working on a vv/vw mod. I've asked Santa Claus (Mrs Striker) for a Vamo. Don't know if that's the right choice or if I am trying to run before I can walk at this hobby. Again any feedback on my choice of mod and what it will do will be welcome and taken on board.

Vamo is a great first mod, simple, easy to use, pumps the power out, has everything you get from higher priced mods in a cheap mod. Vamo was my first mod and i loved it. Not as big as you think it is going to be either. Good choice striker. This is a video of the V2 but all the operation, and buttons are the same on all the versions, the V3, V4 and V5 have updated internal electronics and the design changes over the versions. This is the latest version www.vapeescape.co.uk/MODS--Advanced/Ego-VV/VW-VAMO/Vamo-VE-Stainless-Steel.Html which is the V5
