Good Nicky - go for it. Hide the analogues just far enough away for the 'urge' to pass. I found the early morning one was difficult to ignore but you'll get there in the end. MM I do ma i keep them in the kitchen so i have to get up for one so that does slow me down a bit.

With me, I wasn't intending to give up, I got them and wanted to try them, I still have a packet of Marlboro Brights and some Amber Leaf in my bag that I brought that morning just incase. I've not had a single urge to smoke since. No will power, just didn't feel like I needed them. It's more a panic than an urge with me lol

Ok I know this might sound weird.... lol
Maybe put your ciggy packet next to your e-cig (just a little behind it) put a little note to yourself onto of the packet to pick up the e-cig first, Remind yourself that your just gonna try it this way and see hwo it goes and the ciggys are right there if you want one. So your head knows they are right there and not forbidden fruit.
I know quite often my first vape of the morning often doesnt seem to cut it, but I try to settle mself with a nice glass of juice, read the forum and then usually after about 20 mins I feel better. Saying that I could smoke about 3 ciggys in 30 mins after I just got up, so that prob explains that one lol
(it's a bit like that panic when you can't find your lighter lol if you know where it is and you can use it when u want to, you can go for an hour without feelign the urge)
I find with me the more I make it difficult for myself the more I feel like I'm missing out and want one.
Even now when someone mentions ciggys, or I see or smell one I automaticaly want one. And I still have the option there if I want to.

Congrats Jemima - I have five x 50 grm packs of tobacco and an unopened packet of cigarettes that are almost 21 months old and I'm not remotely tempted!! Sorry you had trouble with an idiot in the pub; if it happens again, why not tell him you're a non-smoker and move to another table? Fox

I gave my baccy away at the end of Week 1 because I'm a hopeless addict, and at that time I'd got down from 50+ a day to none - was taking no chances, because 50/60-a-day (chain-smoking rollies) was the result of smoking just one cig in 1980-something when I'd given up for 10 weeks I'd love to recapture the 24-hour feeling, it was awesome scylla

I put the contents of several ashtrays into a small plastic container. Whenever I had fond memories of cigs, or the urge to light one, I would open the container and take a whiff. That reminded me of the reality of cigarettes.
I still have the container of butts and ashes, but I haven't needed to open it in quite a while.

Well done jemima 2 years on I still have a packet of ciggies up stairs. Call me OCD but I like to be prepared for any eventuality. Just can't bring myself to bin them. I also have all my fat clothes from when I was 14 stone and you never know I may loose the plot one day and eat my own body weight in cream cakes mmmmmmmmmm now theres a thought
