Have you tried a better quality screwdriver for the fill screw? The supplied cheapo just about works for the post screws but does nothing to the fill screw on mine. May I ask you which atty's screw you managed to get to fit as my neg post has the same issue? Not so much a screw but a top head off of an Octopus post Not a screw head problem, i've tried every single screwdriver head i have and none fit. Thanks, shame i don't have an octopus!! I contacted VB via their online chat and they agreed (eventually) to send me a replacement base. I've tried to measure the screws. Not 100% sure but they're either M1.4 x 3 or M1.6 x 3.

Mines in the bin, started coiling it today and both screw terminals de threaded! Can't be arsed with buggering about trying to fix it, the plastic section fits my kay fun lite so that's in the spares box with the orings. Lesson learned

After 3 months waiting, I've finally got the replacement Russian clone base today............haven't attempted unscrewing yet, in case it's another dodgy one.
