I don't like it either, I'd never dream of Vaping in a restaurant.

I think it sends the wrong message that you can vape in a restaurant.

There is nothing in law saying you can't vape in a restaurant... So why not ?

Sorry Des but smoking is banned vaping isn't, Drinking alcohol in public places (ie in the street ) is illegal but does that stop you drinking a soft drink no because they are 2 different things. To me vaping & smoking are totally different also

Then I think they should claim their money back from the makers of the video... it was ridiculous and gives totally the wrong impression of what we're trying to achieve. But thanks for posting it Jeff as I had no idea that this was 'out there'.

Just watched it again in case I had missed something. But no, I'm amazed LF had anything to do with this travesty, unless the Aussies have got a totally different mindset to us Pommies. It would make me want to join the anti e-cigs campaign... I really can't believe LF are associated with it. ???

Interesting to read those comments. I just laughed at the video, didn't occur to me that vapers might object to it.

I'm sure it isn't meant to be taken too seriously, and it seemed more club than restaurant. But I don't see what's wrong with vaping in a restaurant as long as there are no kids present - I do it fairly often, though I avoid doing it if close to someone who is eating.

I vape in restaurants but keep it subtle, I wouldn't blow out clouds of vapour.
I stealth vape anywhere, I keep the clouds for home, car and outdoors.

I agree with Raffles it gives out a bad image of vaping IMO .. I personally would not wish to be portrayed as either of the two dickheads in that video, smoker or vaper. I will vape anywhere that I can but I would never dream of vaping in a restaurant ... I wouldn't even vape at the dining table at home ... blowing smoke or vapour around folk while they are eating is just not on.

Typical Aussie style advertising. I found Australia to still be caught in the blokey, machismo style society we dropped back in the 70s in many ways. This type of advert would very much appeal to them. Never too much class or subtlety.

The smell can be offensive to some as my husbands office banned vaping in the control room, due to the different pungent smells.

Smells aside though I for one wouldn't enjoy a night in a cinema or eatery if there were clouds of vapor whizzing up in the air every five minutes and I'm a vaper.
