As above. In your opinion, what would be the best RBA? Cheap as chips, easy to build, cumulus like clouds of vapor. I know I can't have everything, but you've got to try.

The taifun seems pretty good abit airy but good, the kayfun lite clone from vb is whistly, I can't comment on the others as mine are coming Xmas.

I have tried a few from FT and find that the following produce good taste, flavour and vapour. I also find them easy to coil with either SS mesh, SS rope or either Silica or Ekowool: AGA-T2 £8.17 Smoktech RSST £16.39 Oddy £10.89 Cobra £7.79 Griff

What have you already got?
I think the main types are penny/oddy, genesis/aga, kayfun/russian. I don't think there's a spheroid clone yet - maybe the taifun counts, haven't tried it. All are cracking vapes - once you've got them set up, much better than any clearo. I'm in the process of reducing my nic and flavour % to compensate for the extra taste and throat hit.
I'd say kayfun is the best vape for most of my juices.
Disadvantage of the penny is the res/no res wire. People will tell you there are easy solutions, but I think they all have problems.
Disadvantage of the genesis is that if you turn it upside down the juice falls out. Advantage is that it is easy to rewick & refill.
I haven't got a kayfun type from fasttech - rocket on order. But it will be more hassle to rewick and refill than my aga-t. My kaifun clone came from VB, has cr*p build quality.
If I was only allowed one I'd get a kayfun.

My first(&only) experience of an RBA, and first coil build. I gave it away as I didn't have the time or the nr wire. Great vape even on my humble ego battery. I like the look of that rsst, is that a clone? I will finger on the trigger for the boxing day sale.

seniorphil the RSST is the genuine thing and IMHO the easiest RBA to coil as you don`t have to worry about the SS mesh or SS rope touching the base of the tank. On FT if it says authentic then it should be the real mcCoy. Griff

Loving my new Kayfun 3.1 clone from FT tonight. The threading, of course, reveals it's not as well-engineered as the real thing, but it vapes great first time and doesn't suck like every genny I've tried.

Does it have the whistle issue? No whistling. It's the 'ES styled' one. Tenner. Bargain.

If so does the chrome look ok? I noticed the had a brushed ss version for £14. Choices, choices, choices, sigh.

Lovely, I think it's worth the price of a (London)pint for the ss. I'll get that and the rsst to play with in the new year, Febuary, or when it gets here.
Cheers all.

seniorphil, if you want a genuine RSST I have a used one I could do, with some mesh and some SS rope, and a meter of flat wire for a good price. So you could try all the possibilities in one go, pm me if you want. HOWEVER! I'd recommend a silica rba as a first personally, not requiring res/no res wires points you to a kayfun lite or kayfun bigger. It's up to you, FT or VB sell a cheap range, otherwise it's a good dripper for half the price again or less, but I can't advise on those because I don't have any.
