The panic has started...

TBH I only work part time so I cook 'the dreaded healthy meals' with 3 teens its not easy pleasing them all but we have a decent enough menu to choose from.

1 will eat anything as long as he doesn't have to cook and he suffers no mushrooms, another hates veg but loves spicy food and stir frys..ha! sorted, and youngest loves real meat and loads of veg and will demon fry if left to her own devices whereas elder sister only preps noodles ....

We do a deal, if they will all suffer 1 meal a week they don't much like they can have their favourite the next night (which another sibling suffers) 1 kid picks out every mushroom, other picks out kidney beans and other recoils in horror at any form of greenery.... man just constantly utters 'its so much nicer when you havnt done it yourself' and I resist smashing him over head with empty plate every time he says it... lalallalalalla

My friends take the P because I menu plan for the week before I do my weekly food shop... Need to introduce them to you Super-Shiny so they leave me alone! ;-) lol

Raffles you guessed right. Not had a good curry for a while.
I have to agree about the yellow sticker bargains with some good deals to be had. The thing I hate about it, you will see all these people in smart business suits just lingering until the man with the labelling gun comes round to mark down prices and before you know it, hardly nothing left. feckers they are.
But Pep said if we do the washing up we can all go round to hers to eat the goodies

I don't have a food plan - I just raid whatever is on offer and whats reduced, there's 6 of us to feed (if I include the dog ) So whatever is on BOGOF is in my trolley

As some may know, I work part time in a 'certain' supermarket, and you would not believe what I've seen around the 'reduced' section. Some will sweep the whole lot into their trolley without knowing what was there, while a queue builds up behind them just looking for a bargain. Human nature stinks sometimes.

DONE! just got an early Xmas present of HUMONGOUS sized slow cooker - good old UKHotDeals bargain buy, contents would feed a football crowd? - so if I can prep curry/chilli/scouse I probably could feed half the forum?.....

Just to remind people that most shops are shut for ONE day, it's not nuclear armageddon. Plus many other faiths have shops open on the day.

I've bought and wrapped for the festive season...the only thing I haven't yet got for myself is copious amounts of vodka to anesthetise me through Christmas, once I bought a few litres of alcohol I wont actually CARE if everyone/everyone calls

I'm planning to be half cut and in my pajamas from now until the other side of new year so ...

a liverpudlian form of Stew - normally lamb ( comes from the term 'lobscouse') a well know local Liverpool dish

aha! I have contingency plans - as always, just ordered 2 Thornton hampers, originally £50/now £25 so with half price deal plus 20% off and half price 1 day delivery...£40 >  an early Santa's delivery of a courier will be delivering us obscene amounts of chocolate on the 24th....

This means I have emergency Xmas gifts and/or enough choc for myself for the year or enough for forum for 1 day (if I get the scouse on....)

sainsburys was pretty mad this afternoon. I ended up taking the snap decision to get a chicken roast thing and ready to roast potatoes for when i have my little boy over for xmas eve. Totally forgot to get any other veges, gravy, stuffing etc……. Looks like I'll have to go back (late evening though I think).
