Bl**dy hell Super-Shiny I don't know what I'm going to eat in the next few hours, never mind the next month. It all depends what I've bought recently with the 'yellow reduced' sticker. It tastes so much better when you've not paid full price. Long way away but looking forward to the kids moving out (gonna cry i know) but atleast i can change the menu to good old grubby food, the only savior is Sunday's and even then it's just roast chicken as the kids hate all other meats Bad news shiny they don't move out these days, and they get worse!!!

sainsburys was pretty mad this afternoon. I ended up taking the snap decision to get a chicken roast thing and ready to roast potatoes for when i have my little boy over for xmas eve. Totally forgot to get any other veges, gravy, stuffing etc……. Looks like I'll have to go back (late evening though I think). Good luck... but can I please ask everyone to think of the staff (at all the supermarkets) who are working so hard (you wouldn't believe what goes on behind the scenes to satisfy you), and trying to give you a good experience. Not all are appreciated.

PS Actually I'm not sure that supermarkets in mid Wales have quite got the message yet - is relocation a viable option?

Curry/ Chilli/ Scouse all cooked in a humongous slow cooker - I'm not coming round for a meal, I'm moving in permanently

Not all are appreciated. Indeed - while I was happily chatting to the lad on the checkout about how mad it is in there, my son pulled the trolly full of packed bags, boxes of booze etc. over onto himself (he takes after his dad, if you're going to hurt yourself, do it properly) and said lad was up from his checkout like a shot helping out. Couldn't thank him enough! Then I noticed the eggs were broken and the girls at the central till control desk thing kindly got me a new box All of them were very much appreciated and they said it's not as bad now as it was some years ago when they didn't have online ordering and the longer hours.

Raffles, 'you wouldn't believe what goes on behind the scenes to satisfy you' that was what the thank you is for - I only visit our local supermarket in extremis but I have been impressed at how up beat most of the staff have been despite a load of numpties descending upon them from a great height. I have no idea where some of these people come from but thumbs up to the supermarket staff for dealing with them nicely (no other word would fit, sorry).

I don't get why my local always put pallets of veges in the entrance that is usually congested at normal times, halved the space available right at their busiest time of year! They do it every year. I understand that they have to find somewhere to put it and get it sold, but not there!!!!! and then they also put more stacks of stuff just inside the entrance along with a huge tree. It don't help that there are now 3 security guards standing in the way to make sure no-one steals a bag of sprouts from the pallets blocking the entrance Sorry.. rant over

We always shop within our means for food and pressies. This way we know everything we can afford is paid for. If family are offended then it's a case of tough S**t. We will not have to worry about paying for things we could not afford, especially now that I am less than a year from going on to a pension.
Good luck to those that spend now, worry later. Live within your means and you will not go far wrong.
