My daughter has decided to start vaping in the new year and wants a half decent ecig to start her off. I have recommended a VAMO V5 kit that costs £50. Is this a decent choice? I started with 650ma batteries and clearos and spent rather a lot on money to get where I am now, trying different batteries, clearos and attys.
I think that if she can take to it then this kit should be OK until she catches the shiney bug.
Does anyone have a better suggestion?

My spinner only goes to 4.3v, would this be enough? 5v - 6v gives a better vape for me.

My mechs all work at 3.7v. Plenty for me.

So if you are worried about your daughter not getting enough power to the coil, get her low res heads. I doubt if having less power than a vamo will stop her moving off the fags, but having something that looks weird to some of her friends might. And I'd get her something pretty. It is Christmas!

THIS has been recommended on here as a good place to start. Myepack also do a good price on Vamo kits.

I don't ever touch the higher voltages on any of my gear yesitsme . . . eliquid just gets fried, unless you're using a high resistance coil of some sort. High voltage vaping will also drain your batteries more quickly, not necessary when there are low resistance options about. A Spinner with a 2.00ohm Iclear16 would be a lovely introduction to vaping for your daughter.

I started out with an Ego-T and CE4 from ebay, and they just about did the job for a while, but looking back I wish I'd started with a basic vv device. Anything too big and clunky might feel a bit strange to a new vaper, so I'd advise something like an Ego Twist, Vision Spinner, Ego VV v3.0 or Innokin Itaste VV V3.0. As for what to put on it, I'd say that an Evod is a decent basic option. The Anyvape Davide is my favourite clearomizer / glassomizer, but an Evod with an 1.8 ohm coil is reliable, easy to use and delivers good vapour.

I agree that for newcomers a Vamo or similar large sized mod can be off-putting. I'd recommend a Innokin Itaste VV V3.0 with iClear16s or mini protanks for starters. VV/VW with decent reliable easy to use atomisers in a nice looking sensible sized package. The Itastes are also rectangular so they don't roll off desks... which is awesome

I too started with eGo 650 batteries and CE4s, which got me off the fags but I always thought that there might be more to vaping than this kit. If they had been around then, I would have gone for a pair of Spinner 1300 VV batteries and a couple of iClear 16s - awesome vape, and the option to crank up the voltage if and when required.

90% of my vaping is done on a Spinner + clearo combo. OK, so when I'm at home, the SID/Vamo/Mech/Lavatube might be pulled off the shelf, but for everyday use.... nah....
