Nemesis Magnet Upgrade

These arrived yesterday & they fit perfectly........nice, smooth movement..........I must admit, the button works fine with just the springs, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.....Just to verify, if you order 2 as the amount, you get one set of magnets......

I might get a couple of these.

chrisjw Are just 2 of the magnets strong enough to prevent firing when you stand the Nemesis up with an atty on top ?

OK stupid question, where abouts do the magnets get fitted, i know its fire button just wondering where abouts as i am having problems with my nemesis

I think the stronger magnets are N45...not sure

It's a tad wobbly in 18650 mode oldleatherlungs........doesn't fire, but it's close......just tighten the locking ring when you stand it up & it'll be fine

I bought the magnet upgrade from Vapist, not sure if they are the same as the ones you got from ebay, but they are a good upgrade, much smoother button throw and no firing when stood upright, even in 18650 mode with a Kayfun 3.1.

I guess the key benefit of the magnets is the improvement in the switch operation.

A magnet is a magnet. I don't quite subscribe to the theory that the original magnets will perform better. The magnets only act as a spring and the current will always flow through the path of least resistance which is the threaded brass body of the switch onto the main tube. The silver coating is just a gimmick to extract £6.00 out of people for a pair of magnets worth about £1.00.

N35 magnets are a bit weak for a 18650 + kick + heavy atty. One way around it is to have 2 x back to back magnets on one side and the repulsion force goes up to approx 208%. That's the configuration I am using and it is rock solid.

I guess it depends what strength the magnets are. I can only assume that Atmomixani supply magnets fit for purpose and that they will replicate the dynamics of the spring, so you could stand the Nemesis up with an Atty on top without firing.

But as you say, simply fit an extra magnet if required.

I have no idea if the magnets are original or if they are the same as the ones that you can get from ebay. All I know is that they work in all configurations with the heaviest atty that I have, and in 18650 mode the button does not fire when stood up. I got the from Vapist because I knew they would just work. Someone on here is bound to do a side by side test eventually, and may well save people some money..
