This may sound mad but if you are really desperate to vape then cover smoke alarm with a condom,...honestly it works! (any type ) I know I shouldn't laugh but..................... My mum stealth smokes in bathroom frantically blowing smoke into vent -- and never travells without her sanitiser spray I was always too scared of the £200 fine.......

- just possibly a pleasant aroma which could be attributed to various other activities Yes, when the cleaning "operative" comes in, just say you made a cup-a-custard. And then boiled it in the kettle to infuse......

Well I don't know about fire alarms, but smoke alarms it is perfectly possible for one person to set them off vaping. As I've done it on a couple of occasions in the past now at places of employment whilst having a sneaky vape. Fortunately there was a bit of a delayed action in the alarm sounding so I was able to act completely innocently whilst everyone else was running around frantically. I'm a little more careful now where and how much vapour I exhale . . . .

I spend a lot of time in hotels and always vape in my room but i'm careful to keep it away from the detector.

At the last two London Vape meets we have managed to set off the alarms. In November the pub wasn't a problem, we opened a couple of windows. In December we were on a boat on the Thames. Instead of the normal "peep peep peep", we got "abandon ship, abandon ship" in a electronic robot voice. We managed to clear the fog before everyone grabbed lifevests and took to the icy water. With one or two people vaping, the vapour should normally defuse before it effects a smoke alarm.

I've got mixed results with this topic I once was in a hotel room and gently vaping away when 2 guys came knocking on my door asking if I was on fire since the fire alert went off I sometimes puff one away in the office I'm in and got a smoke detector close to where I'm sitting but it hasn't gone off yet... So I guess it comes down to the amount of smoke you blow at the detector and maybe if it's working or not. One thing you could do just to cover everything is see if the shower is close by. It was the first thing they asked at the hotel "did you maybe take a hot shower" ^^ Just in case you get cought
