There's every chance the supplies we're paying extra for in the UK are the same ones Asian suppliers offer for less. Absolutely they are... The vast majority of our vaping gear is Chinese made. The original point I was making was simply that some UK companies such as Myepack are extremely cheap and yet make a profit and so they should. My issue is with UK vendors who multiply that profit margin by 10 fold, 20 fold and some even more. Myepack, VapeEscape and one or two others will always get my custom. The ones who choose to massively overprice their stuff...well I honestly don't care about them. I certainly won't pay those prices just because they're vendors on this forum. You might be interested to know daveyboy37, that we do actually reject Vendor applications from some of the worst overcharging merchants as we don't want our Members who may not know better to be ripped off. That said, it's also worth remembering that some of the smaller Vendors simply don't have the buying power to purchase in sufficient volume to get the best price on equipment. But I take your point and Fagin's completely, there's never going to be an easy answer and ultimately it's down to the individual to make their decision on where they choose to spend their hard earned.

When I were a lad there was 16 of us lived in our cardboard box, wasn't so bad though as we all did rotating shifts darn t'pit.

A small percentage use china/Hong Kong etc but loads don't know or want to use overseas and as many have said UK vendors don't have the buying power but have availability and if anything is wrong it's rectified quick. I have loads of friends and family Vaping but rely on me to get there stuff so I deal in uk. There's a market for everyone home or abroad.

We have to remember, it isn`t just ecigs that are affected this way and not just from China either. No matter what your retail business is, you start off paying more for your stock Also, buying from China has started off so many new ecig businesses who have been successful, even with their reduced buying power

I'm not even sure how this got round to whether we should buy from the UK or China. ??? It was simply meant to be about HealthCabin having a sale on, thus allowing me to use DHL for shipping and still being cheaper than FastTech. Normally I use myepack or VapeEscape if its a small order and that will not change.

Anyways one further note on this.. The order was placed at around 3PM on Christmas Eve... at 4AM this morning it was in the East Midlands having cleared customs in the UK, Leipzig , Hong Kong and China. My guess is I will receive it tomorrow. So if you want it NOW, order from China. Wow that's going some daveyboy37! When Macca did our wonderful forum Group Buys, DHL was always the carrier . . . really, really impressed with the service we had from them. We were kept in the picture from start to finish, in the minimum of time as to where our goodies were. Even having to pay duty on our large orders was handled extremely efficiently and the staff processing the payments were very helpful as well.

Yeah, when I ordered from HC in the past, I used DHL and it was super quick. No complaints there.
BUT, they did lose the package once it got to UK. Had to wait something like 11 days before they would officially declare it lost, but in the meantime I had to pay the customs charge to clear it.
THEN, once they declared it lost, HC could resend it. Again, super quick in getting here, this time I actually got it though. No customs charge that time though, and got refunded on the customs charge on the original order. Not so bad.
BUT, I had paid for speedy delivery, and it took longer than FT for it to come through. Had an issue with one of the products I bought, and while they were good and replaced it straight away, they refused to send speedy DHL again, so ANOTHER couple weeks waiting ensued. Overall I was over a month waiting on one of the items to arrive in a working condition despite paying something like $40 for speedy delivery.
I am hesitant to use HC again after this. And, their p+p can be quite high. I just looked up a V3 Fogger from there and was only $27 for the item, but £17.50 was the cheapest postage available to me. That's a bit much for me to be honest.
They are good if you are putting in a larger order, but FT win hands down for the smaller orders. For me at least.
