as for your sweet tooth, part of it will be your body looking for a quick energy boost to keep you going through the stress, but it may be worth a try getting some sweet pudding desert flavour juices?

Well got Mums diagnosis today, definitely cancer, she has gone so so downhill in the last two weeks they believe they cannot treat her at all.....life is a b***ch, what do I say to her when I see her tonight.....how do I tell my children....just horrid.

((Hug)) Jacci life is a b****h my sister is in the same position as your Mum and likes to talk about it not brush it under the carpet we try to stay positive when around her and really let her take the lead on what is said. As for telling your children it very much depends on their age my sisters grandchildren all know but of course just to their age level. Stay strong

Let your mum take the lead, i suppose it will depend on how much the diagnosis has sunk in as to whether she will want to talk about it

Not sure how old the kids are but I do know you can't keep things from them, they always suss that somethings up so best to be straight but pitched to their understanding.

Well 3 weeks today and the vaping/no smoking is going really really well!! I have a meeting with Mums Consultant today, not looking forward to that but at least I will know exactly what is what afterwards.

Havent been on here for a while as have been staying with Ma, she came out of hospital on 24th Jan and has gone so downhill, she is now ready to go into nursing home. Very very poorly, very aggressive lung cancer and the prognosis is weeks/short months....wish I knew what short months meant. Mum doesnt know the prognosis, I felt that was best.I asked work for compassionate leave which in the handbook is death/serious illness of immediate family member and work advised me she isnt ill enough so I couldnt have it. Im very cross as I have been there 10 years, never have time off sick, even when I had cancer I came back early!! Anyway they said I could have it unpaid or holiday but the Macmillan nurse told me to have it sick and self certify for the week and then my gp will sign me off after that if need be and that is what Im doing. Im back tomorrow but wont be of any use to them whatsoever as I cant stop crying for long so we will see how it goes.
On the plus side I am still vaping and havent had a fag!

That is exactly what I did Karma, not back now till next weds, Mum has gone into a hospice, absolutely wonderful place, the staff are absolutely second to none. The great thing is I can now go back to being a daughter as opposed to an exhausted carer. It is a massive weight off my mind...vaping still going well too.

My poor ma died on Monday, it really was a release for her but obviously horrid for me. Her legacy to me is to finally give me the motivation to keep vaping and stay off the fags.

Make sure you tell your loved ones you love them when you have the chance, I told my mum that before I left her for the last time and she was so mentally confused she just said Well I dont know about that, but Im sure in her heart she did.
