I seem to have developed a real problem with flavours. Everything I have just does not taste right This has been going on for a few weeks now and I'm getting fed up with constantly changing and trying new flavours. I either read the reviews on a site about a flavour that everyone is raving about or watch reviews on Youtube where the guy says something like 'this is divine' and I buy that flavour (one that I ought to like as well) but alas they still just do not taste right to me. The only time they do taste anything like nice is after cleaning my teeth and using a mouthwash, but that only lasts about 10-15 minutes. I can't keep cleaning my teeth every 10 or 15 minutes. I'm at the end of my tether vaping what tastes like 'orrible muck all the time Any suggestions guys ???

I keep a tank of strong mint flavour for times like that. If your taste buds are reeeeeeeeally shot, you might need to vape the mint for a few days to bring 'em back around.

Now that's another weird thing newdawn, I absolutely love anything minty, like after eights, mint sauce, mint sweets etc etc, but I have never since day one been able to vape anything remotely minty. I've tried menthol and ended up giving the bottle away, also high voltage which is cherry and mint and a minty bubblegum. I just have half a dozen vapes and can't take anymore, I wish I could because that should resolve my problem.

I don't know if to try a different clearomiser, maybe an iclear 16 or something. I'm using a mini protank with a bottom coil, maybe I need a warmer vape, what you reckon ??? Do you guys think it might help going from a cool vape to a warmer vape?

Some flavours are better with iclear16, some not.
fruits are better with iclear16s, anything with mint or menthol is better in the protank minis in my opinion.
but don't think it will sort duff tastebuds.
I have to keep changing too to keep flavours on track, keep 4 clearomisors topped up and change through day.
Loved apple from Joosejuice a few weeks ago, now can barely taste it!

if you havent got one maybe get a vv/vw mod they will improve tastes if you have one, just keep uping it till you get the oh yuk then step it down,i loved VC but now cannot taste it,so switched back to virginia which went the same now can taste that again, maybe time as well to start self mixing will add any atty you use that has menthol ,will not rinse out ,it sticks and wont leave lol

I've got the itaste vv/vw battery that I use with the protank mini and I've tried all sorts of combinations of both wattage and voltage till I get that burnt taste then turn it down a notch or two. I do keep swapping over flavours as well, got 3 on the go at all times, and yes I realised early on you can't use the same atty for other flavours once you've had mint in one. I have started mixing my own juice too but I feel that I'm not getting the best out of my own mixes due to this 'tastebud' problem - sigh, what to do, just don't know anymore

A once a day rinse with hydrogen peroxide mouth wash might help.

I have had a similar problem several times. I got a sour, metallic taste in the mouth that became strong after a few draws on the ecig and completely ruined the experience. Rinsing my mouth out with water made it better but only for a few minutes. Each time I had the problem it lasted for days. At the same time, I had been brushing my teeth rather aggressively (hah) and unintentionally causing my gums to bleed. This coloured the foam when I spat out (sorry if too much info here) and left a faint metalliic taste around my gums that became unbearably strong each time I vaped.
So eventually I got a better toothbrush and took more care to brush gently. No more gum-bleeding, and after about three days the horrible taste that came when vaping had completely gone. It's never happened again since I changed my tooth-brushing regime!
All the best

Jono Aha jonoclouds that could be my problem too then. I'm also seeing small amounts of blood when cleaning my teeth as well. Looks like a trip to the pharmacy to get a decent toothbrush, currently just using an ol cheapo one from the supermarket. I'll give it a try and see what happens. Pharmacy not open now till Monday. Thanks for the tip - I'll let you know next week if it works or not for me fingers crossed it will work.

toots, read on here somewhere that someone ate a few packets of salt & vinegar crisps a day for a few days and that seemed to sort it. Not the greatest for the waistline though! Lol maybe worth a shot? :-)

If the toothbrush doesn't work I'd definitely try an iclear. Normally it is easier to taste things when they are warmer. And if that fails, and the budget will run to it, I'd think about an RBA.
